Meningitis in children can cause great harm to their health, and this situation is occurring more and more frequently, making many parents very worried and anxious. Therefore, the most important thing is to first understand the symptoms of meningitis in children. Only by discovering whether a child has these symptoms in time can we treat them in time and minimize the harm caused to his health by meningitis. Children with encephalitis begin to show symptoms of fever, tearing, runny nose, red eyes, and fear of light. Examination can reveal small white spots on the cheek mucosa on both sides of the child's mouth, with red surrounding areas, which are called measles mucosal spots. On the 3rd to 4th day of fever, the child develops a red rash, which begins to appear behind the ears and on the face, and gradually spreads to the whole body. At this time, the body temperature is higher than before, and there may be vomiting, diarrhea, coughing and other symptoms. 3 to 5 days after the rash appears, the rash on the whole body gradually subsides in the order of the rash, the body temperature drops, and the condition improves. Measles can be combined with pneumonia, laryngitis, encephalitis, and can also cause subacute sclerosing panencephalitis. (1) Keep the airway open and clear the sputum blockage. Thoroughly suck out the secretions at any time, turn over regularly, and pat the back. For those with viscous secretions, 0.5% chymotrypsin 0.1 mg/kg plus appropriate antibiotics can be used for nebulization and inhalation, and nasal cannula oxygen can be supplied. For those with frequent convulsions and the possibility of suffocation and respiratory arrest, those with a lot of secretions that are difficult to clear, those with respiratory failure confirmed by blood gas analysis, or those with pneumonia, tracheotomy can be performed, and even pressurized oxygen can be given. (2) Central respiratory stimulants: The effect is better when used before spontaneous breathing stops. Lobeline 0.15-0.2 mg/kg each time, chloramine 5-12.5 mg/kg each time, and valproate 2-6 mg each time. The above drugs can be used alternately and repeated every 4-6 hours if necessary. Note that excessive doses may cause convulsions. The above is an introduction to some of the symptoms of meningitis in children. I hope that every parent can pay attention to this common sense. If you don’t want your children to be affected by these diseases, our only way is to actively discover scientific treatment. Therefore, in life, we should also pay attention to observe the physical health of our children. |
