What to eat for children who get carsick

Motion sickness is a symptom that many people have. The feeling of motion sickness is very uncomfortable. Some babies also have motion sickness because the balance system of the person will be affected when riding in a car, which will cause dizziness. Some friends take motion sickness medicine when they are motion sick. Of course, this is effective, but after all, medicine is three-point poison. If the baby is motion sick, it is best not to take medicine, but to adjust through food. So what should children eat for motion sickness?

What to eat for children suffering from motion sickness?

1. Orange peel

About 1 hour before riding, fold the fresh orange peel inward with the surface facing outwards, then put your two fingers into your nostrils and squeeze it. Aromatic oil mist will be sprayed out of the peel. It can be inhaled more than 10 times, and you can do the same at any time while riding in a car.

2. Ginger

While driving, cut fresh ginger into slices, put it in a small plastic bag and carry it with you. When on public transportation, place it under your nostrils and smell it at any time to inhale the spicy smell into your nose. Ginger can prevent motion sickness. Ginger works by absorbing stomach acid to prevent nausea. You can also stick ginger slices on your navel and the Neiguan acupoint on your wrist, and secure them with a blood-activating and analgesic ointment. This home remedy has been widely tried and has excellent effects on nausea caused by motion sickness.

3. Vinegar

Drink a glass of warm water with a few drops of vinegar 5-10 minutes before getting on the bus, so you won’t get carsick during the journey.

4. Olives and lemons

The early stages of motion sickness cause the mouth to produce excessive saliva, which drips into the stomach and creates a feeling of nausea. The tannic acid produced by olives and lemons can dry out the mouth. Therefore, eating some olives at the first signs of nausea can help eliminate it.

5. Soda Crackers

Although this will not stop the secretion of saliva, the soda crackers can absorb the excess fluid there once they reach the stomach. The secret ingredients are sodium bicarbonate and cream of tartar.

6. Coca-Cola and juice

It can help children relieve motion sickness. Orange juice and apple juice are more effective. Other carbonated cola drinks may also be effective. You may as well try them all and find one that works for your baby.

The above-mentioned foods are very effective for babies' motion sickness. Parents can learn more about them. If your baby also suffers from motion sickness, you might as well bring these things with you when riding in the car. I believe this can help alleviate your baby's motion sickness. Of course, adults can also do the same.
