Everyone knows that when a baby is just born, all parts of its body, including its organs, are still immature. At this time, parents' careful care and nursing are especially needed, but some new parents may not provide proper care when taking care of their children for the first time. Even healthy newborns may sometimes show other symptoms. This scares some parents, but the truth is it’s because they know too little. So let’s take a look at the care measures for neonatal asphyxia. 1. Nursing measures 1. Follow the general care routine for newborns. 2. Keep warm throughout the resuscitation process, maintain a stable body temperature after resuscitation, and measure body temperature once every 4 hours. 3. If acute respiratory symptoms worsen during or after resuscitation, neonatal pneumothorax should be considered. If the neonate still retains the endotracheal tube after resuscitation, it should be considered that the tube has fallen off or is blocked by meconium or mucus. 4. For those with regular breathing, give oxygen intermittently or continuously according to the doctor's orders, and closely monitor the oxygen partial pressure or blood oxygen saturation (85%-93%) to prevent oxygen damage. If the breathing is irregular or there is no spontaneous breathing, use a ventilator to assist treatment, keep the airway open, and clear respiratory secretions in time. 5. Establish effective intravenous access to ensure drug administration. 6. Fast temporarily and replenish water and nutrients intravenously. 7. Closely observe neurological symptoms, such as muscle tone, pupil reaction, minor convulsions, etc., and also monitor blood sugar and electrolytes. Pay attention to skin color and peripheral circulation, monitor heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and deal with any abnormalities in a timely manner. 8. Prepare rescue items such as suction devices at the bedside, and actively perform rescue operations when necessary. 9. Keep warm: It is extremely important to keep warm during the entire rescue process. Because the respiratory circulation of newborns is poor after asphyxiation, the body temperature usually does not rise. The indoor temperature should be controlled at 24℃~26℃. Children with low body temperature can be kept warm with a hot water bottle until the body temperature rises above 36℃, and then placed in an incubator according to different situations. When using a hot water bottle to keep warm, be careful not to burn your skin. The temperature and humidity of the incubator should be appropriate and should be frequently observed to maintain a relative humidity of 55% to 65%. 10. Oxygen inhalation: Different methods of oxygen supply should be adopted according to the different conditions of the children. During oxygen therapy, the child's breathing, complexion and blood oxygen saturation index should be closely observed. Because the baby is just born, his organs are still in the development stage. Therefore, when suffocation occurs, parents are most needed to provide good care. Before, many new parents may not have understood it very well and many problems would arise. However, after reading the care measures for neonatal asphyxia introduced above, I hope it can help more parents. |
