How to correct children's stuttering

Speaking of stuttering, I believe everyone is familiar with it. It refers to speech dysfunction, inability to speak fluently or very difficult to speak. Generally speaking, stuttering is caused not only by organic reasons but also by learning and imitation, which forms "inertia" over time and leads to permanent damage. Therefore, if the child does not have organic stuttering, it is very important to perform stuttering correction surgery in a timely manner.

So, how to correct children's stuttering? For children with normal language function, the cause of stuttering is related to imitation and speaking less. And treating the disease with the right medicine always achieves twice the result with half the effort. In addition, if you are not sure whether your child has organic stuttering, it is best to go to the hospital for diagnosis before starting correction.

Don't try to correct it deliberately, and never label your child as a stutterer rashly. This will only lead the child's stuttering phenomenon into stuttering disease and become a real stutterer. Correction of stuttering in children is mainly through the guidance of parents and relatives, starting from eliminating the causes of stuttering and bad language habits.

When children learn to speak, parents should do three things: do not laugh at them, do not stop them, and do not urge them.

Here’s a suggestion for you: Let your children listen to more children’s songs with beautiful voices, fluent expressions and lively content. For example, children's stories and children's poems, after they have become familiar with them, let the children read and recite along. You can consciously sing songs, recite texts, and sing nursery rhymes with your children to help them master the rhythm of the language. Then further guide him to speak at the rhythm of reading the text, and transition little by little.

Stuttering, whose scientific name is complex speech disorder, can also be considered a disease. Childhood is the time when learning and improvement are strongest. If the child already stutters at this time, it should be corrected in time to avoid permanent stuttering. Of course, if there is no improvement after a period of adjustment, you can only seek professional treatment.
