1. Lower the indoor temperature

I remember when I was a child, there was no air conditioning or fan at home, but we still managed to get through it step by step. Although the house is stuffy at night, you can learn from the older generation and open the bedroom windows to let the outside air in to increase air circulation, which can greatly reduce the indoor temperature and avoid catching a cold caused by air conditioning. If you are worried about mosquitoes, install a mosquito net for your baby to ensure that the baby is not bitten by mosquitoes. If the baby is still uncomfortable and can't sleep, prepare a small fan. In order to prevent the body temperature from being unbalanced and blood circulation from being poor, you can adjust the fan to the swinging mode.

2. Straw or rattan mat

Please note that I am talking about straw mats or rattan mats here. Never use bamboo mats. Those that are too cold or too hard are not suitable. The baby's skin is very tender. If it is too hard and uncomfortable to lie on it, the baby will not be able to fall asleep, which will affect the quality of sleep. Generally, straw mats or rattan mats are the best. A small number of parents choose straw mats woven with cattail, rush, amaranth, etc., not only because the material is very soft, but also because the baby will not catch a cold easily even if he sleeps on it all night, and it can also play a role in cooling down, which is much better than cloth sheets.

3. Install thick curtains

The daytime is too long in summer, and people have the habit of taking a nap at noon. Babies are small and need more sleep, but the temperature is very high during the day. In order to lower the indoor temperature, install dark and thick curtains on the bedroom windows, open the windows for ventilation at night to lower the temperature, and draw the thick curtains and close the windows during the day to better prevent strong light and warm air from entering. Reduce some of the heat transferred into the room. By using this method, you will find that your room will be much cooler than other rooms in your home, and your baby will be able to sleep peacefully.

4. Use ice cubes to cool down

When I was in school, our physics teacher told us that melting ice can absorb the surrounding heat and have a cooling effect. Although there are no ice cubes, every household has a refrigerator. We can fill empty bottles with water and put them in the freezer. When they are frozen into ice cubes, we can take them out and use them. We can freeze a few more and place the frozen ice cubes around the baby's room or under the bed. In order to avoid the ice cubes melting and flowing to the ground, putting them in a bowl or small basin is perfect.
