Dietary supplements for children with anemia

Children often have symptoms of anemia. I'm sure everyone has experienced anemia. Adults feel very uncomfortable when they have anemia, let alone children. If the children are a little older, they can tell their parents, but some children who cannot express themselves in words can only feel uncomfortable themselves. Therefore, it is necessary for parents to know more about anemia. I'd like to share with you the dietary supplements for children with anemia.

Iron is an important component of hemoglobin in red blood cells. The function of red blood cells to carry oxygen and carbon dioxide depends on iron. Therefore, long-term iron deficiency in food will cause anemia. There are many sources of iron. Lean meat, egg yolks, fish, breast milk, etc. are all rich in iron. Among plant foods, dates, fruits, nuts, hawthorn, walnuts, and strawberries are rich in iron.

★ The yolk of an egg contains a high level of iron. About 100 grams contains 7 mg of iron. Although the absorption rate is lower than that of meat, it is cheap, easy to store, rich in nutrients, and easy for children to eat.

★ Pig blood, chicken and duck blood contain a large amount of iron, and the absorption rate is up to 12%. It is easy to process and can be said to be a cheap and high-quality blood-enriching food.

★ Eating less fresh vegetables and fruits can easily cause anemia. Because vegetables are rich in folic acid, and folic acid deficiency can cause immature development of red blood cells in the bone marrow, resulting in a short survival life of red blood cells released into the blood, thus causing nutritional anemia. For example, eating a tomato or drinking a glass of orange juice (vitamin C) before a meal can double the absorption of iron.

I have shared with you the dietary supplements for children with anemia. I believe that parents will get a lot of help from reading this. In daily life, parents should know more about these common sense issues. In this way, if the child develops anemia in the future, they can let the child eat more of these things, which will definitely help the child recover.
