Some children are found to have umbilical hernia by doctors not long after birth. This is mainly due to the lack of timely care after birth and the failure to prevent infection of the umbilical cord in time, which can also lead to some symptoms. So how should this situation be treated? Many people are not very clear about it. Let me explain it to you today! Compression method: Use an elastic band of appropriate length and 9 to 10 cm wide to sew it into a circle; let the baby lie flat and shrink the umbilical hernia; place a cotton ball (the same size as the hernia) or the convex surface of half a ping-pong ball at the umbilical hernia and secure it with the elastic band. You can wrap a coin, button or piece of wood that is slightly larger than the navel ring with gauze, press it on the navel ring, and then secure it with wide tape. The width of the tape is 5 cm. Gauze can be padded inside the waist and back where the tape passes to avoid damaging the skin. The contents are returned to the abdominal cavity to make the hernia sac empty, avoid the hernia contents from bulging and facilitate the closure of the umbilicus. Generally, it should be replaced once every 1 to 2 weeks and can be used continuously for 3 to 6 months. Attention should be paid to the care of the local skin. The navel should be reduced in size and healed gradually. Indications: Surgery may be considered in the following cases: large hernia with umbilical diameter of more than 2 cm; no cure after 1 year of conservative treatment, age over 2 years old; already incarcerated, with adhesions between the internal organs and the hernia sac; umbilical pain, with suspected adhesions of the greater omentum. Surgical method: Make a semicircular skin incision around the bottom of the umbilical hernia, separate the subcutaneous tissue and free the hernia sac, remove the hernia sac from under the umbilical skin, and suture the skin layer by layer. The wound was covered with sterile gauze and fixed with wide adhesive plaster to eliminate the tension of the abdominal wall. If children have these conditions, they must be treated, but many hospitals are not very professional, so they will directly use surgical methods during the treatment process. However, if the child is just born and is relatively young, he or she cannot bear the consequences of mobile phones, so it is best to find some more professional large hospitals. |
