Some methods of weaning babies

Anyone who has been a mother will definitely know some methods of weaning their baby. As the child gets older, the mother's milk becomes less and less. Some mothers even run out of milk, so they have to face the problem of weaning their child. It can be said that mothers have spent a lot of thought on weaning their children. Now let's take a look at some methods of weaning babies.

1. When is the best time to wean?

As the child grows older, the various nutrients provided by breast milk can no longer meet the needs of the child's growth and development. Generally, the child can be weaned at nine to twelve months. In areas where dairy products or other milk substitutes are scarce, weaning can be appropriately delayed to about one and a half years old. However, there is no strict regulation on the weaning age. If the mother has a lot of milk, the baby can be fed for a longer period of time. Generally, the baby can be weaned at around one year old. If there is little breast milk but the child is willing to eat milk or other foods at the same time, he can eat them for a longer period of time. If there is little breast milk and the child is unwilling to eat dairy products and other foods, he should be weaned earlier, even as early as six months.

2. Gradual weaning

Take it step by step and make a natural transition. The timing and method of weaning depends on many factors. Every mother and baby feels differently about weaning, and the method chosen varies from person to person.

3. Rapid weaning

Quick weaning: If you have made adequate preparations, you and your baby can adapt, the time for weaning is ripe, and you can quickly wean your baby off breast milk. Especially with objective factors, if the mother has to go on a business trip for a period of time, it is very likely that the baby will be completely weaned in a few days. If the mother stops pumping milk after going to work, the daytime milk supply will soon stop.

4. Gradual weaning

Gradual weaning: If your baby is very dependent on breast milk, rapid weaning may make the baby uncomfortable. If you attach great importance to breastfeeding and are with your baby every day, you may feel a sense of loss if you wean suddenly. Therefore, you can adopt a gradual weaning method. Start by breastfeeding six times a day, then reduce to five times a day. Once both mother and baby are used to it, gradually reduce until breastfeeding is completely weaned.

5. Eat less breast milk and more milk

Drink less breast milk and more milk. When you start weaning, you can give your baby some formula every day, or you can give him fresh whole milk. It should be noted that you should try to encourage your baby to drink more milk, but as long as he wants to drink breast milk, the mother should not refuse him.

The above is all about infant weaning. After weaning, mothers must pay attention to maintaining the nutritional balance of their children. They should appropriately add some complementary foods to their children. Wheat, corn, soybeans, etc. are very good foods. Also, pay attention to appropriately add some dietary fiber from miscellaneous fruits and vegetables.
