What foods are better for children with indigestion?

Once people have indigestion problems, they often feel all kinds of discomfort. Even when you have indigestion, you often feel stuffy in your abdomen. Even when you gently tap your abdomen with your hands, you will often feel a buzzing sound. Active treatment is needed. What foods are better for indigestion?

Functional dyspepsia (FD), also known as indigestion, refers to a group of clinical syndromes with uncomfortable symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, upper abdominal distension, early satiety, belching, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, etc., after examination has excluded the organic diseases that cause the above symptoms. Symptoms may persist or recur for more than one month or for more than twelve weeks in the past twelve months. FD is the most common functional gastrointestinal disease in clinical practice.

Focus on chewing. Digestion starts with chewing. The smaller the food molecules are, the easier they are to digest and the easier it is to absorb nutrients. The longer you chew, the more enzymes and saliva your mouth secretes, reducing the burden on your stomach. Finally, the longer we chew, the fuller we feel because it activates the nerves in the brain and makes us feel full. Therefore, the more we chew, the more weight we lose!

How many times should you chew? Generally speaking, the more times you chew your food, the better. Even if you are drinking water, juice or soup, be sure to chew it before drinking it. Because food needs saliva to help digestion, and chewing is the only way to produce saliva.

Another important physiological factor is fiber. If there is not enough fiber in the diet, food cannot be smoothly discharged from the intestines. If it stays in the intestines for too long, it will cause constipation due to fermentation by bacteria and yeast. If your fiber intake is high enough, you will find that you have a bowel movement after every meal, so if you only have one bowel movement a day, it means you need to increase the fiber intake in your diet!

Warm reminder: If a person with indigestion has a bowel movement less than once a day, then for the sake of physical recovery, it is best to avoid consuming refined starchy foods containing gluten. Otherwise, it will become more and more serious. And you can eat things made with white flour.
