Whenever the seasons change, babies are always prone to various diseases. Of course, this is a very common phenomenon. For example, if a baby has herpes in his throat, it will definitely make parents very anxious. In the past two years, hand, foot and mouth disease has been well known to everyone, so when the baby has a fever and blisters, parents will be very worried, right? This makes parents very nervous. Let’s talk about the problem of herpes in the baby’s throat here. Herpangina is an acute, infectious, febrile disease caused by many group A coxsackieviruses and occasionally other enteroviruses, characterized by herpetic ulcerative mucosal lesions. It is common in infants and young children, and the clinical features are sudden high fever accompanied by sore throat, headache, anorexia, and often pain in the neck, abdomen, and limbs. Vomiting and convulsions often occur in infants. Within 2 days of onset, a small number (rarely more than 12) of small (1-2 mm in diameter) gray-white herpes appear on the oral mucosa, surrounded by a red halo, mostly in the front of the tonsils, but can also be located on the soft palate, tonsils, uvula, tongue, etc. Within the next 24 hours, the blisters rupture and become shallow ulcers, generally less than 5 mm in diameter, and heal within 1-5 days. Complications are rare: symptoms generally disappear within 7 days. After infection, lasting immunity can be produced, but other viruses in group A or other enteroviruses may also cause recurrence. Recommended reference medications: Ribavirin, Nimesun, Ke Lao, Qing Kai Ling, and Yan Bian Granules are antibiotics, antipyretics, analgesics, and throat clearing drugs. Infants and young children aged seven, eight and nine months are at high risk of diseases. Among them, herpangina is the most common disease in children. It is caused by a viral infection and the onset is very acute. A child may be having fun the day before but may have a high fever and herpes in the throat the next day. Children usually suffer from high fever, sore throat, drooling, anorexia, vomiting, pharyngeal congestion, and several to dozens of 2-4 mm gray-white blisters surrounded by red halos. Generally, after one or two days, the herpes will begin to break into small ulcers, which will make the child feel very uncomfortable. From the above understanding, we can know that herpes in the baby's throat is herpetic pharyngitis, so parents should not be careless, because this disease has certain similarities with hand, foot and mouth disease, so you can't tell the difference by yourself, so it is recommended to go to the hospital to see a doctor and don't worry about the baby's condition. |
