What to do if your child has blisters in his mouth

If a child has blisters in his mouth, it should be considered an oral disease. Many of them are caused by eating foods that make people get angry. If the blisters in the mouth are accidentally touched by the tongue, it will cause some pain. Children have poor resistance and their body functions are not as strong as adults, so we should pay special attention to their eating habits and prevent them from developing bad habits of picky eating. Eating more vegetables can also help children relieve pain.

1. Oral candidiasis: also known as thrush, there is a milky white film in the mouth, ulcers, coughing, and pain when swallowing. This is a common oral ulcer disease in children. Treatment - Antifungal.

2. Herpetic gingivostomatitis (herpes simplex): It is more common in children aged 2 to 4 years old. It occurs rapidly in the oral mucosa, accompanied by fever, sore throat, and local lymph node enlargement. Small blisters then appear in the mouth. After the blisters rupture, white patches and shallow ulcers are formed. The gums become red and swollen, and the pain affects eating. Treatment - Antiviral.

3. Aphthous stomatitis: It starts as small red spots or papules, then forms ulcers with white necrotic material at the base, light red around the ulcers, and mild edema. It usually heals in 7-10 days.

4. Behcet's disease: This disease presents with skin lesions such as oral and genital ulcers, eye damage and skin vasculitis.

It is recommended to avoid spicy food.

1. Crush 1-2 vitamin C tablets and sprinkle them on the ulcer surface. Close your mouth for a while, twice a day. This method is effective in treating ulcers, but it causes great irritation to the ulcer surface and can cause pain. It is generally used for older children.

2. Choose whole milk powder, one tablespoon each time and add a little white sugar, take it with boiled water, 2 to 3 times a day, it is best to take it before going to bed. The ulcer usually disappears after 2 days of taking it.
