Treatment for eye pain in children

Most children like watching TV, but if they watch too much TV, their eyes may feel uncomfortable. Most of the symptoms are eye pain. What are the causes? Most of the time it is caused by watching TV or using the computer for a long time. If these factors are not present, eye pain is a signal of imbalance in a certain organ or tissue in the body and a sign of disease. Faced with this situation, what should parents do? Let us find out through the following.

Will there be inflammation? If it is not serious, you can apply it with a towel. Also note: Cold and hot compresses are often used in therapeutic care, and they have different purposes.

⑴ Apply cold compress. Cold compress can cause capillaries to contract, reduce local congestion, relieve pain, and reduce temperature and fever. For cold compress, soak a small towel in cold or ice water, wring it half dry, and apply it to the local area. Change it every 1-3 minutes and continue for 15-20 minutes. You can also wrap an ice pack in a towel and apply it to the area, but be careful to avoid frostbite.

⑵ Hot compress. Hot compress can promote blood circulation in local tissues, improve the body's resistance and repair ability, promote the dissipation and localization of inflammation, and reduce local swelling and pain. The operation of hot compress is similar to that of cold compress. You can either soak a small towel in hot water and wring it half dry before using it, or you can fill a hot water bottle with hot water, wrap the towel around it and apply it to the affected area. It is important to note that you should not apply hot compress right after suffering a closed trauma (i.e. trauma without a wound), as this will promote blood vessel dilation, aggravating bruising and swelling. At this time, you should apply cold compress to control bleeding, and then apply hot compress after one or two days to dilate blood vessels and promote the absorption of blood stasis. Avoid heat when there is an infection. Hot compress is not suitable for various internal bleeding and acute abdomen. In short, for acute inflammation, use cold compress within 24 hours and hot compress after 48 hours.

In addition, if you don’t want to take medicine, chrysanthemum tea is a good drink to protect your eyes. Chrysanthemum tea can eliminate eye swelling and fatigue. If you drink too much water before going to bed, your eyes will be swollen like a panda when you wake up the next morning. There is a folk remedy that can effectively relieve this problem. Just dip cotton in chrysanthemum tea and apply it around the eyes. This will quickly eliminate the swelling. Chrysanthemum is very effective in treating eyestrain and blurred vision. China has known since ancient times that chrysanthemum can protect eye health. In addition to applying it to the eyes to eliminate swelling, you can usually make a cup of chrysanthemum tea to drink, which can eliminate the symptoms of eye fatigue. If you drink three to four cups of chrysanthemum tea a day, it will also help restore vision. In addition, there is a kind of cassia seed that looks like black rice grains. It is also a good eye protection beverage when boiled into tea juice.
