Treatment for yellow eyes in newborn babies

In fact, many newborns have relatively poor resistance, which may cause some complications. Therefore, as parents, we must pay more attention to our own hygiene and the hygiene of our babies to avoid yellow eyes. Now let us learn about some treatments for yellow eyes in newborn babies.

Treatment:

It could be jaundice. Neonatal jaundice is a very normal phenomenon. Jaundice can be divided into physiological and pathological. If it is physiological, no treatment is required and it will disappear automatically after more than 20 days. Pathological jaundice is very rare. If jaundice becomes severe after about 30 days, treatment is required. Drinking more water and sunbathing for about 10 minutes (twice) a day will help alleviate jaundice. If jaundice does not subside for a period of time, you can take "Yinzhihuang".

Physiological jaundice appears 2 to 3 days after birth, reaches its peak on the 4th to 6th day, and disappears on the 7th to 10th day. It lasts longer in premature infants and, except for mild loss of appetite, has no other clinical symptoms. If jaundice appears within 24 hours after birth, does not subside within 2 to 3 weeks, or even continues to deepen and worsen, or reappears after subsiding, or jaundice begins to appear within one to several weeks after birth, it is pathological jaundice. Treatment of neonatal jaundice: 1. Blue light irradiation 2. Use of enzyme inducers: commonly used phenobarbital, dosage: 5-6mg/kg/day Light treatment can heal itself. Feeding more sugar water can speed up the disappearance of jaundice, no treatment is needed 3. Traditional Chinese medicine clears away heat and dampness, regulates qi and activates blood circulation, strengthens the spleen and eliminates dampness, and promotes bile secretion and reduces jaundice.

2-3 days after birth, 1/2-1/3 of newborns' skin gradually turns yellow, which is most obvious around the seventh day. This is called physiological jaundice of the newborn. This is because the source of oxygen for the fetus in the mother's body depends on the mother's blood. Since the concentration of oxygen in the blood is limited and the mother herself needs oxygen, the fetus has to increase the number of red blood cells in order to adapt to this situation and get enough oxygen. After birth, the fetus establishes self-breathing and does not need so many red blood cells. The excess red blood cells are destroyed, causing an increase in bilirubin. At the same time, the liver function is not yet sound and cannot process the increased bilirubin in time, so they act like yellow dye, staining the skin and mucous membranes of the newborn yellow and causing jaundice. Jaundice does not require treatment and can go away in about 7-10 days, or as late as 3 weeks.

The above article introduces in detail some treatment methods for yellow eyes in newborn babies. I believe that everyone has a preliminary understanding. Therefore, in daily life, if such symptoms occur, you must check in time to find out the real cause.
