What to do if mycoplasma infection occurs in infants

Some babies have problems with their bodies, so they need to pay attention to take appropriate measures in time to ensure their health. It is because the baby's illness may cause danger to the baby's body, especially the patient's safety. So what should I do if the baby is infected with mycoplasma? Let me introduce this issue to you below.

Mycoplasma is a type of prokaryotic cell microorganism with a size between bacteria and viruses. There are three types of mycoplasma that are pathogenic to humans. Among them, ureaplasma urealyticum is a common pathogen of the human urogenital tract. It is related to many urogenital tract infections, perinatal infections and infertility, and is one of the pathogens of sexually transmitted diseases.

Mycoplasma infections are widely distributed in nature. In addition to humans, many animals such as cats, cows, chickens, dogs, ducks, sheep, horses, mice, monkeys, pigs, pigeons, as well as insects and plants can carry and store this pathogen. >>>Recommended reading: Treatment of mycoplasma infection

Both Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis can be transmitted from mother to baby during vaginal delivery. The isolation rate of Mycoplasma hominis in the reproductive tract of infants under 1 year old is 4%; the isolation rate of Ureaplasma urealyticum in male infants is 6% and that in female infants is 38%. Mycoplasma in the reproductive tract decreases rapidly with age. Mycoplasma is rarely isolated from the urogenital tract of adolescent boys, while the isolation rate of ureaplasma urealyticum in girls is 27% and that of Mycoplasma hominis is 5%. However, after puberty, the isolation rate of genital mycoplasma will gradually increase, and it will be more obvious after sexual intercourse.

After mycoplasma infection through the urethra, patients may experience symptoms of urethritis and may develop secondary chronic prostatitis. When examining prostatic fluid, active, migratory microbial communities can be seen. Mycoplasma also continues to infect the seminal tract, seminal vesicles and testicles, affecting the quality of sperm and semen and causing infertility.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the baby has the above problems, then the baby needs to pay attention to treatment to avoid dangerous situations in the baby's body due to this problem. In particular, attention should be paid to the baby's physical safety. Finally, I wish the baby a speedy recovery.
