Why does a 40-day-old baby have frequent bowel movements?

In China, some newborns have increased frequency of bowel movements, or very frequent bowel movements. It is not because the children eat a lot that they have frequent bowel movements. Sometimes it is also a disease in terms of pathology. This is a problem caused by breast milk. It can be said to be a disease. The frequency of bowel movements of 40-day-old babies is caused by breast milk. Indigestion is also a reason for children's frequent bowel movements. Why do 40-day-old babies have frequent bowel movements? Let's see what to do!

The presence of fat globules indicates indigestion

Physiological diarrhea is common in breastfed infants, mostly occurring within 6 months. The reason is that certain nutrients in breast milk exceed the baby's needs, and the baby's digestive ability has not yet fully developed, causing diarrhea.

Physiological diarrhea often has the following characteristics:

1. The frequency of bowel movements ranges from 2-3 to 8-9 times a day and is like paste, with no special odor.

2. The child is a little bloated and often has milk rash on the face, behind the ears or along the hairline.

3. Although the child has some diarrhea, the nutrients absorbed by his body still exceed those of ordinary children. Therefore, these children continue to gain weight while having diarrhea, and their weight is even heavier than other babies of the same age. Their growth and development are not affected, they have a good appetite, and they do not get sick.

There is no need to wean the baby or use antidiarrheal drugs for physiological diarrhea. As the baby grows up and his digestive function improves, gradually add porridge, noodles, fish, vegetable mud and other complementary foods, and the child's bowel movements will gradually become normal.

The stools of breastfed babies are yellow or golden yellow, uniform like ointment, but without odor. They have frequent bowel movements, usually 2 to 4 times a day, and some as many as 7 to 8 times a day. This is called physiological diarrhea. Parents don't need to worry, this is a normal phenomenon, and the diarrhea will disappear automatically when the child grows to a certain age.

Babies fed with milk have less bowel movements, 1 to 2 times a day, with a slightly smelly stool.

The above is a brief introduction to the frequency of bowel movements of a 40-day-old baby. I hope it can help you in this regard. I also sincerely hope that your child can have a strong body and your child’s digestive system will have a certain degree of changes. Children have a certain ability to digest this kind of thing. As long as we provide scientific guidance and feed the child, there will be no problems!
