Vaccinating babies is one of the necessary things in modern life, because vaccines are medicines produced to prevent various diseases. They can stimulate the body's corresponding resistance and improve the baby's physical fitness. For example, BCG is a very effective vaccine. It is very effective and provides perfect protection for the baby's body. Let's take a look at the reactions of the baby after receiving the BCG vaccine. What is the reaction after BCG vaccination? Generally, local redness, swelling, infiltration, suppuration and small ulcers will appear about 2 weeks after BCG vaccination. In severe cases, appropriate treatment should be taken. BCG will cause pus to form. No matter what it looks like, do not touch it or do anything about it. BCG needs to cause pus to form and then break and grow well before it can grow into a flower. Generally, it will be fully grown in about five months. Don't move the baby. All you need to do is not let the festering area get wet. About one to two weeks after the baby is vaccinated with BCG, small red nodules will appear locally, which will gradually grow larger and cause slight pain and itching, but no fever. Pustules or ulcers will form in six to eight weeks. Scabs will begin to form in ten to twelve weeks, leaving a small reddish scar after the scab falls off, and the red color will gradually turn into skin color. If there are local pustules or ulcers after BCG vaccination, there is no need to apply medicine or bandage. But the area must be kept clean and clothes should not be worn too tightly. If pus flows out, wipe it with sterile gauze or cotton. Do not squeeze it. It will heal and form a scab naturally in about two to three months on average. Wait for the scab to fall off naturally and do not pick it off prematurely. 1% gentian violet can be applied to prevent infection, and scabs will generally form in 8-12 weeks. If local lymph nodes are swollen, hot compresses can be used for treatment. If pustules have softened and formed, pus can be drained with a sterile syringe. If perforation has occurred, 10% sulfa ointment or 20% para-aminosalicylic acid ointment can be used for treatment. You can use a cotton swab to gently wipe off the pus. Do not squeeze it or scrub it with complex iodine. If pus flows out, wipe it dry in time and wait for natural healing. |
