What is the cause of congenital cerebral hypoplasia?

The birth of a child is originally accompanied by infinite joy, because the child is the hope and future of a family. However, with the current food safety issues and air pollution, the disease rate of children is getting higher and higher, and even the incidence of congenital cerebral dysplasia is gradually increasing. In fact, this situation is very pessimistic. You must know that although congenital cerebral dysplasia can be treated, it will have a very big impact on the child's life. Therefore, understanding the cause of congenital cerebral dysplasia and starting to pay attention to prevention during pregnancy is the best way to prevent congenital cerebral dysplasia.

Causes of congenital cerebral hypoplasia:

1. Congenital abnormalities, including brain development abnormalities caused by various reasons, such as congenital hydrocephalus due to incomplete closure of the neural tube, holoprosencephaly due to developmental disorders of brain vesicle evolution, and flat gyrus, pachygyria, and microgyria due to neural migration disorders, including the absence or incomplete development of the septum pellucidum caused by combined disorders.

2. Low-birth-weight babies, including premature babies and full-term small babies. These infants all had varying degrees of intrauterine growth retardation. It also affects the development of the central nervous system, and is often complicated by subependymal hemorrhage and intraventricular hemorrhage, the latter of which can easily cause spastic bilateral paralysis.

3. Kernicterus is also an important cause of brain maldevelopment. However, due to the progress in perinatal medicine, the proportion of brain maldevelopment caused by kernicterus has decreased.

4. Cerebral hypoxia and ischemia. Therefore, anything that can cause blood circulation and gas exchange disorders between the mother and the fetus, or cause neonatal arterial hypotension and venous congestion, may cause cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, resulting in brain damage and leaving behind brain maldevelopment. These factors include maternal factors: such as pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, heart failure, heavy bleeding, anemia, shock or drug abuse, drug overdose, etc.; placental abnormalities: such as placental abruption, placenta previa, placental infarction or placental dysfunction, etc.; tape blood flow blockage; such as tape prolapse, compression, knotting or around the neck, etc.; circulatory failure.

After knowing the cause of congenital cerebral dysplasia, we need to remind all parents that if you find that your child has congenital cerebral dysplasia, you must actively treat it. The best way is to adopt comprehensive treatment methods. Parents and doctors should cooperate well and pay attention to training children's thinking and self-care abilities. Only by persisting for a long time can congenital cerebral dysplasia have the possibility of recovery. I hope parents can pay attention and never give up.
