How to treat crossed legs syndrome

How to treat crossed legs syndrome

Crossed legs syndrome is a common phenomenon in young girls. When you find that your child always crosses his legs and rubs them constantly, and soon after you find that his cheeks turn red, you can generally confirm that your child suffers from crossed legs syndrome. Many parents do not know how to help their children get rid of crossed legs syndrome, which is normal. After all, we cannot explain too much to such a young child. However, if it is not stopped, the harm of crossed legs syndrome is also relatively large. So how should crossed legs syndrome be treated?

Different treatments should be used depending on the different explanations and causes of the disease.

If the rubbing behavior is caused by irritation such as perineal eczema, pinworms, wet diapers or tight pants, it is caused by a physical disease. When the physical disease disappears, this behavior will also disappear. In this case, drug treatment is needed. Dopamine blockers such as fluphenazine and antan are often used in medicine. At the same time, attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the children's perineum. In addition to daily cleaning, infants and young children should also use diapers or disposable diapers when playing during the day, and wear crotch-closed pants as early as possible to protect the perineal skin and avoid infection.

If perineal eczema, pinworms, wet diapers or tight pants, and the possibility of epilepsy are ruled out, these rubbing behaviors can be considered an adverse psychological behavioral disorder. Psychological intervention methods should be used.

(l) Parents should remain calm, not nervous, and give gentle advice. They should try to downplay the issue, not scold or angrily, and should not pay undue attention to it. Otherwise, the behavior will be reinforced and fixed, leading to the problem being carried over into adolescence, possibly forming a chafing habit and affecting normal sex life.

(2) Parents should give children more emotional warmth and spend more time with them to avoid leaving them lonely and bored. Parents should cultivate their children’s broad interests, guide them to participate in more outdoor activities, and cultivate their interest in the outside world to divert their attention.

(3) Before going to bed, tell the child a story or play a small game until he or she is tired and falls asleep. Get up immediately after waking up and avoid staying in bed for too long.

In fact, the treatment for crossed leg syndrome is mainly to solve the problem according to the cause, and pay attention to helping children not to let them have psychological burdens, tell them that this is not good instead of blindly scolding them. Only in this way can it be possible to help children get out of the shadow of crossed leg syndrome. At the same time, it is also recommended that parents and friends pay enough attention to their children’s daily behavior and tell them some relevant knowledge when appropriate.
