Treatment for green stool in babies

Treatment for green stool in babies

Right after a child is born, the body's immunity is very obvious to the outside world, and there is no defense mechanism yet. When defecating, you will find that the baby's stool is green. What causes this phenomenon? Let's learn about it together.

There are two reasons why baby's stool is green. One reason is that the bile reduction is not good, which is caused by too rapid intestinal peristalsis. Biliverdin has no time to be reduced and is excreted from the body, so the stool is green. One cause is hunger diarrhea. This situation often occurs when the diarrhea lasts for a long time. Parents are afraid to feed their babies a lot, and the babies have green stools due to hunger.

It may be caused by the milk powder you eat. You can try changing the milk powder. If it gets better, it is the problem of the milk powder. The milk powder my family drinks is Xubeier milk powder, which is imported from the United States. It has a light taste, and the taste and formula are close to breast milk. It has less irritation to the baby's stomach and intestines, making it easier for the baby to accept, digest and absorb. It also contains special prebiotic ingredients that can regulate gastrointestinal function and prevent babies from constipation or diarrhea. So my baby has never had this kind of situation.

Usually, supplement your child with some beneficial intestinal bacteria. Mami Love and Biostime are both beneficial bacteria that can regulate the gastrointestinal system. They can make diarrhea less loose and constipation less dry. The price of Mommy Love is moderate, while the price of Biostime is relatively expensive.

If you have dry stools, you must drink more water, especially boiled water.

Babies who are bottle-fed or have added complementary foods need to be fed water every day, and the amount of water given each time should be about half of the amount of milk per meal: 30 ml in the first week after birth; 45 ml in the second week; 50-60 ml after 1 month; 60-75 ml at 3 months; 70-80 ml at 4 months; 80-100 ml at 6 months; 100-120 ml at 8-12 months. The amount of water should be increased appropriately in summer. You should drink water more frequently if you have a cold, fever, vomiting or diarrhea and are dehydrated.

Above we introduced green stools for babies. First of all, there are two reasons for this. One is caused by poor bile, and the second is caused by hunger in the child. You need to give the child more care.
