Friends who have children at home should all know that children need to be vaccinated at a certain stage. Some children may have a vaccination schedule given by the hospital, but others may not. However, if some vaccines are missed or not administered, there may be great risks. The vaccination schedule is now published below: 1. Hepatitis B vaccine The vaccine is administered in three doses, one dose each at birth, 1 month, and 6 months of age. The first dose should be given as soon as possible within 24 hours after birth. 2. BCG One dose is given when the child is born. 3. Polio vaccine The vaccine is administered in 4 doses, with children receiving 1 dose each at 2 months, 3 months, 4 months and 4 years of age. 4. DPT vaccine The vaccine is administered in 4 doses, with children receiving 1 dose each at 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, and 18-24 months of age. 5. Diphtheria and pertussis vaccine One dose is given when children are 6 years old. 6. Measles, mumps and rubella (leprosy, mumps and measles vaccine): One dose of leprosy vaccine should be given at 8 months of age. For those who lack leprosy vaccine, measles vaccine should be continued to be used. One dose of MMR vaccine should be given between 18 and 24 months of age. MMR vaccine can be used as a substitute for the insufficient MMR vaccine, while measles vaccine can continue to be used for the insufficient MMR vaccine. 7. Meningococcal vaccine The vaccine is administered in 4 doses. Children aged 6-18 months receive 2 doses of group A meningococcal vaccine, and children aged 3 and 6 years old receive 1 dose each of group A+C meningococcal vaccine. 8. Japanese encephalitis vaccine The Japanese encephalitis live attenuated vaccine is administered in two doses, with children receiving one dose each at 8 months and 2 years of age. The inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine is administered in 4 doses, with children receiving 2 doses at 8 months of age, and 1 dose each at 2 and 6 years of age. 9. Hepatitis A vaccine One dose of live attenuated hepatitis A vaccine is given to children at 18 months of age. Two doses of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine are given, one dose each at 18 months and 24-30 months of age. It is still important for children to get vaccinated, such as against polio. If the vaccine is not given in time, it may very likely lead to a mess in the child's future life. Therefore, it is recommended that parents take note of things like vaccinations. You don’t have to remember it in your head, you can add a note on your phone. |
