What to eat for myopic children

Myopia has become more and more common, but its occurrence still worries many parents. Myopia is difficult to cure, especially with the changes in the overall environment. Myopia has become younger, and many children have developed myopia. Although myopia can be treated with laser, this treatment method is not suitable for children. Therefore, in terms of children's myopia, how to treat myopia is still a big problem. In addition to medical treatment, more attention should be paid to diet. So what kind of food is better for children with myopia?

(1) Protein. The intake of fish, eggs, milk and lean meat should be appropriately increased, with animal protein as the main source.

(2) Calcium and phosphorus. It plays a role in strengthening the sclera. It is more common in milk, beans, nuts, dried shrimps, kelp, snow vegetable, mustard tuber, walnuts and pumpkin seeds. Foods containing vitamin D can enhance the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. These foods include egg yolks, butter, cod liver oil, etc.

(3) Chromium. When chromium is insufficient, the insulin regulation function is affected, blood sugar increases, the osmotic pressure of the lens and aqueous humor increases, the refractive power increases and causes myopia. Therefore, you should eat more foods containing chromium. Such as beef, semolina, brown rice, grapes, mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, white fungus, black fungus, etc.

(4) Selenium. Selenium is involved in the activities of the eye muscles and pupils. Nutritionists believe that when a person's daily selenium intake is less than 50 micrograms, vision will be affected after a period of time. Therefore, they should eat more selenium-rich foods such as fish, poultry, cabbage, radish, leek, garlic sprouts, etc.

(5) Carotene and vitamin A. Lack of vitamin A will affect night vision, so you should eat more foods containing carotene (which can be converted into vitamin A) and vitamin A, such as carrots, corn, pumpkin, green vegetables, egg yolks, animal liver, etc.

(6) Vitamin B. Vitamin B: When it is lacking, visual fatigue is easy to occur. Vitamin B has a nutritional effect on the optic nerve. These foods include flour, peanuts, lean meat, milk, vegetables, etc.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that myopia is caused by liver and kidney deficiency and qi and blood deficiency. It can be treated by nourishing the liver and kidney. The corresponding dietary prescriptions are as follows:

(1) Remove the membrane of 1 goat liver and chop it into small pieces. Cook it with 100 grams of glutinous rice and eat it regularly.

(2) Embed 7 wolfberries in the flesh of 1 longan each, steam until cooked, and take 7 wolfberries daily for several days.

(3) Cook 50 grams of mung beans and 100 grams of rice into porridge with water. Add cooked pork liver after it is cooked and eat it regularly.

(4) Add 1 spoon of roasted black sesame powder and 1 spoon of honey to 1 cup of milk, mix well and take regularly.

Through the above introduction, we know that vitamin foods have a good preventive effect on children's myopia, so children should not develop the habit of being picky eaters in daily life. They must eat more carrots, eggs and dairy products. These foods can not only provide the vitamins needed every day but also protect our health. They have a great effect on the body, so children, be sure to eat up these foods. In addition, you must pay attention to your diet and not consume too much sugar. Try to eat less irritating foods such as onions, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers.
