Why do children's eyes always shed tears?

Tears are common in many people. Don’t be too anxious when this happens. There are many reasons for tears. It is normal to have such a situation when you have a cold, so don’t worry. If it happens on a windy day, it may also be related to your own eye disease. This requires timely examination to solve the problem of tears. So why do children always have tears in their eyes?

What is the reason for the child's eyes to keep tearing up?

Tears can be divided into two types: cold tears and hot tears. 1. Cold tears: The eyes are not red, but tears often flow, especially when facing wind. The tears are clear and thin. If not treated, over time, the eyes will become dim and unable to distinguish colors. 2. Hot tears: eyes are red, swollen and painful, afraid of light, tears are sticky and turbid, and often complicated by other eye diseases.

There are three main reasons why your eyes often tear up:

1. The tear point is everted. The lower lacrimal punctum leaves the eyeball, and tears cannot flow into the lower lacrimal punctum, thus causing tearing symptoms.

2. The lacrimal puncta are narrow or blocked. It is caused by blepharitis, burns, other trauma, or eyelashes entering the tear duct. There are also congenital symptoms.

3. Lacrimal duct stenosis or occlusion. It is mostly caused by the entry of scar tissue, stones or eyelashes after trachoma infection.

Typical symptoms at diagnosis:

1. Crying in the wind. In one or both eyes, when the temperature drops or there is stimulation from cold wind, tears flow out quickly, accompanied by itchy and sore eyes.

2. Frequent tears. The eyes often shed tears without any irritation, the tears are thin and clear, and there is no pain or redness or swelling.

After realizing that children's eyes are always tearing up, parents should choose methods suitable for their children to improve the situation. This will greatly help relieve the tears. When treating tears, children should also be given more vegetables and fruits to eat. This will greatly help improve the body's immunity and promote the improvement of the tearing situation.
