First of all, it is necessary to explain the IQ that we often talk about. IQ is the intelligence quotient. Intelligence is usually called wisdom, also called intelligence. It is people's ability to understand objective things and use knowledge to solve practical problems. Intelligence includes many aspects, such as observation, memory, imagination, analytical and judgment ability, thinking ability, adaptability, etc. Parents are of course happy to hear others praising their children for their high IQ. Therefore, many parents attach great importance to the cultivation of their baby's IQ during the process of parenting and early education. So from which aspects should we start to cultivate children's intelligence? First of all, we need to figure out what aspects of children's intelligence include. Generally speaking, it is divided into 8 areas: 1. Linguistic intelligence - that is, the child's ability to read, write, listen and express (focus: listening and expressing) It is not difficult for parents to teach their children to read, write and read. What is rare is to let children have the ability to express themselves fluently and listen. When a person knows how to listen, it is not just a simple IQ training, but it has risen to the level of personal cultivation. 2. Mathematical and logical intelligence - the child's ability to recognize numbers, calculate and reason (emphasis: reasoning ability) Number recognition and calculation are subjects that have been taught to death, but ask yourself, how many teachers and parents pay attention to cultivating children's reasoning ability. Every parent hopes that their child will have strong reasoning ability like Detective Conan, but without targeted training in daily life, everything is just empty talk. 3. Spatial intelligence - that is, direction perception, imagination, drawing and design ability (focus: imagination and design ability) Children's perception of direction and drawing skills can be improved through repetitive practice, but imagination and design skills are at a higher level. It is undeniable that these two abilities require a certain level of talent to support them, because not everyone can become a Van Gogh or Picasso. 4. Physical movement intelligence - sensitive touch and coordinated movements (focus: finding a development direction suitable for the yellow race) It is undeniable that there are population differences in human physical motor intelligence. For example, the lightning speed of "Jamaican Flying Man" Bolt is not something we yellow people can achieve through hard training. However, when switching to the 110-meter hurdles event, Liu Xiang's precise rhythm between hurdles is something that black people do not have, and this involves body flexibility. The success rate of our children practicing sprinting and hurdling is different, it's that simple. 5. Musical intelligence - namely, pitch discrimination, sense of rhythm and music appreciation ability (emphasis: sense of rhythm) Don't think that every child can become a Beethoven-like figure, and don't be too critical of yourself even if you sing tune-out. However, it is unforgivable if the child cannot grasp the sense of rhythm. When singing, don't make a joke of the child still singing the first sentence of the lyrics when it comes to the second sentence - in short, sense of rhythm can be trained. 6. Interpersonal intelligence - the ability to integrate into a group, perceive emotions, and handle relationships (emphasis: combined with moral education) Although interpersonal intelligence is listed as part of intellectual education, it is undeniable that the cultivation of this intelligence must be closely integrated with moral education. Many people know how to read people's expressions and know themselves and others, but they are not good at handling interpersonal relationships. This involves the factor of respecting others. "I understand the truth, but I just don't want to deal with people I look down on" - children who have such ideas should first reflect on their moral education. 7. Self-cognitive intelligence – the ability to know oneself and manage oneself (emphasis: knowing oneself) As the saying goes, “Know yourself and know your enemy, and you can fight a hundred battles without danger.” However, there are very few children who can truly do this. “Knowing the enemy” may not be difficult, but “knowing yourself” is rare. Moreover, a confidant is not static. It is worth considering how you position yourself in different occasions and at different times. 8. Natural observation intelligence - the ability to observe and distinguish various things (key point: observation is not the same as seeing) When educating children on observation skills, be careful not to only emphasize "seeing". Although there is an ancient saying that "seeing is believing", the laws are changing with the development of the times, and many things seen by the eyes are mixed with illusions. We may not necessarily be able to distinguish what we observe, so it is very important to cultivate children's ability to "distinguish right from wrong and eliminate the false and retain the true." |
