What to do if children have toothache

Toothache is not a disease, but it can really kill us. Have you all experienced toothache? Toothache is really uncomfortable and we will be tortured. There are many reasons for toothache. Many times it is related to some oral diseases. Adults can't stand toothache, let alone children. Toothache is also very common in children. So what should we do if children have toothache?

When children have toothaches, it usually means they have tooth decay. If their oral hygiene is not good, some oral diseases will occur. If a child has toothache, parents should take the child to see a dentist in time and use medication in time to avoid infection of other teeth.

Toothaches in children caused by trauma. It is common for children to accidentally fall and injure their teeth. Sometimes they bite on gravel or bones while eating, causing traumatic apical periodontitis and pain.

Solution: If the tooth is just a little loose, then you just need to take some anti-inflammatory drugs and let the affected tooth rest for a week; if the tooth is broken, you need to ask the doctor to extract the exposed dental nerve under anesthesia and then fill the tooth or extract it.

Tooth decay causes pain: Tooth decay is a common cause of toothache, especially in children.

Solution: If the cavity is shallow, you can go directly to the hospital for filling. If the cavity is deep, the dental nerve needs to be deactivated before filling.

Pain caused by inflammation of the dental pulp nerve: The toothache caused by pulpitis is particularly obvious at night, and children often cry all night and cannot fall asleep.

Solution: Take your child to the dental hospital immediately and let the doctor use a dental drill to grind the tooth open. Add some anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine and the problem will be cured and the pain will be relieved immediately.

Pain caused by apical periodontitis: In addition to pain, there is also redness and swelling of tooth caries, floating teeth, and in severe cases, swelling of the face, swollen submandibular lymph nodes, and fever symptoms.

Solution: Go to a professional dental hospital and ask the doctor to grind open the affected tooth to drain the pus, take antibiotics orally or intramuscularly, change the dressing repeatedly until the inflammation is completely eliminated, and then do a filling to repair the tooth.

Children love to eat sweets. Some children do not pay attention to oral hygiene and do not brush their teeth often. Bacteria will easily appear in the mouth and oral diseases will often occur. Tooth decay will also make children feel toothache. Children feel very uncomfortable when they have toothache and will cry and make a fuss. Parents should take their children to treatment in time and pay more attention to oral hygiene in normal times.
