Third, classification of child safety seats?

The classification of child safety seats is generally divided into two types according to two classification methods, and these two types are divided into many subcategories:

1) The classification of child safety seats is based on the type of fixing method. There are currently three types:

European standard ISO FIX fixing method, American standard LATCH fixing method and seat belt fixing method.

European standard ISO FIX fixing method

The ISO FIX (International Standards Organization FIX) child safety seat fixing system is a standard for child safety seat interfaces designed and implemented in Europe since 1990. Currently, all models sold in Europe will have this interface as standard configuration, and some joint venture automobile manufacturers in China also provide this interface configuration. This configuration features two fixed interfaces for hard linking with child seats.

American standard LATCH fixing method

LATCH is the abbreviation of "Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren", which has a very awkward Chinese translation, "Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children". Since September 1, 2002, the United States has stipulated that almost all types of cars must provide child safety seat fixing methods using the LATCH system. The biggest difference between it and the European standard ISO FIX fixing method is that the connection method is not a hard link but a simultaneous hook connection, and there is one more fixing point than ISO FIX, a total of three.

The original intention of buying a child safety seat is to protect the safety of children while riding in a car. However, if the installation is very complicated and it is not easy to fix firmly, the child safety seat will not play a protective role and may even threaten the safety of children in the event of an accident. The two fixing methods mentioned above, ISO FIX and LATCH, are the fastest and safest ways to fix the interface.
