Child's leg bone pain

Child's leg bone pain

When many parents see their children complaining of bone pain, they tend to think it is growing pains. Because children's bones grow rapidly during the development process, it will cause some pain. But do all children suffer from calf bone pain due to bone development? Actually, it is not. There are many diseases that can also cause bone pain in children. What are these diseases? These are the main five.

1. Synovitis in children

This is one of the reasons why children experience leg pain during their growth. Children with this disease often have obvious pain in the lower limbs, and varying degrees of pain in the knee joints, hip joints and other parts of the body. The children walk with a limp, and young children will be irritable and cry at night. There is no redness or swelling in the painful area. Parents should pay attention to this. This situation may be due to a disease such as synovitis, and do not simply think it is growing pains.

2. Tuberculous hip arthritis

This disease most often occurs in preschool children. It is more common on one side and the disease progresses relatively slowly. The limb on the affected side is painful and develops gradually. In severe cases, children may be awakened by the pain at night.

3. Femoral head necrosis

Many people think that femoral head necrosis only occurs in adults, but in fact, children can also suffer from this disease. The early pain of the disease is relatively mild and tends to gradually worsen. Children often have an obvious history of trauma. Once this disease is diagnosed, it needs to be treated as soon as possible to avoid disability.

4. Osteochondritis

This disease tends to occur in the groin of children. It is a cartilage necrosis disease, which is often related to the high level of activity of children and tends to gradually worsen. Parents should take their children for examination and treatment in time.

5. Bone tumors

Children with this disease will experience persistent pain in their bones and joints, which has a great impact on the patients and must be discovered and treated as early as possible.
