How to deal with toothache in children

Toothache is a relatively common problem. Especially for children whose teeth are weak and prone to tooth decay, toothache is a common problem. Children are different from adults, so the treatment of toothaches is also different. In order to ensure the health of your child, it is best to adopt some more effective folk remedies. Here are some tips on how to deal with toothache.

1. Gargle with pepper water to relieve toothache

Zanthoxylum bungeanum has a pungent and warm taste. It is mainly used to treat wind evil, warm the middle, eliminate cold arthritis, strengthen teeth and improve eyesight. Moreover, Sichuan pepper has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. When a child has a toothache, parents can pour 10 grams of peppercorns into a teacup, add half a cup of boiling water, cover it and let it soak for 5 minutes, then pour in a cup of white wine, cover it again, wait for it to cool down and filter out the peppercorns, then let the child with the toothache take a sip and hold it in his mouth. Just like gargling your mouth, sometimes lowering your head and sometimes raising it. After about 5 minutes, spit out the pepper water and you will find that the toothache is gone.

2. Relieve toothache by pressing Hegu point

Hegu point is a special acupoint for relieving pain. In ancient my country, acupuncture was used at this point for anesthesia when teeth were extracted. When you have a toothache, just rub the Hegu point to relieve the pain.

The Hegu point is located between the first and second metacarpal bones on the dorsum of the hand, at the midpoint of the radial side of the second metacarpal bone. It is a very good acupuncture point. When a child has a toothache, pressing the Hegu point can usually relieve the pain in about 5 minutes. It should be noted that there is a trick when pressing the Hegu point. If you have a toothache on the left side, press the point on the right hand. If you have a toothache on the right side, press the point on the left side.

3. Bite a tea bag to stop toothache

Black or green tea contains tannic acid, which can both help reduce swelling and help the blood clot, promoting healing. Place the tea bag in water and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds until warm. Squeeze out excess water from the tea bag and bite the tea bag on the painful area.

4. Flour can cure toothache

If a child has a toothache, the painful area is accompanied by swelling and a burning sensation in the gums. In this case, you can try using flour to treat it.

The specific method is: use a little white wine to slowly stir an appropriate amount of flour, then spread the flour paste evenly on paper or cloth, and stick it on the painful cheek, which can slowly reduce the pain. If the dressing dries out, you need to replace it with a new one.
