Pityriasis alba usually occurs on the face, but may also appear on other parts of the body, such as the neck, chest, and arms. Typical pityriasis alba lesions are generally round or oval in shape, 0.5 to 2 cm or larger in diameter, and vary in number. At first it appears light pink and is generally difficult to detect.
