Why does my baby toss and turn in his sleep?

When there is a baby in the family, the whole family will care about him very much. If they find that the baby is slightly abnormal, the whole family will become anxious and angry. In fact, there is no need for this, because in modern society, young people have a good understanding of parenting knowledge. Even if they don’t, there are more advanced medical technologies to help babies solve some physical problems. So, why does the baby toss and turn when sleeping?

There are two situations in which babies have restless sleep: one is physiological, which is an instinctive reaction. It is the way babies express their emotions and needs, which may be due to hunger, heat or cold, being frightened or disturbed by dreams, or sleeping too much during the day. At this time, parents only need to make adjustments and comfort the baby according to the specific situation to calm the baby down and help the baby sleep well.

There is also a pathological condition: it should be given enough attention. Any disease that causes pain, itching and other discomforts to the baby will make the baby sleep disturbed, such as fever, eczema, intestinal cramps, oral ulcers, pinworm infection, etc. In addition, babies who are calcium deficient usually suffer from sweating, bald spots on the back of the head, night terrors, irritability, etc. You can take your baby for trace element testing.

If your baby tosses and turns in his sleep due to the above two reasons, then the mother should solve the problems accordingly. Under the premise of ensuring that the baby is not frightened or exposed to external factors such as cold or heat during the day, if the baby has pathological reasons, the mother should take the baby to the hospital for examination in time.

In addition to the above situations, parents should pay attention to the following before going to bed:

1. Don’t let your baby have too much dinner. Drinking milk once will help him sleep better.

2. Appropriately reduce various stimulations to the body. Taking a hot bath and doing a massage before going to bed will help the body relax.
