The easiest way to correct stuttering

There are many people who stutter in life, and their lives and work are often frustrated because of stuttering, and they even become inferior and dare not express themselves. However, people who stutter are often fluent when singing or reading, but they have a hard time speaking, unable to express themselves, and stutter. Faced with this, many people are anxious and want to seek change. So how can they change?

1. Psychological treatment:

Parents should create a pleasant and stable environment for children who stutter, eliminate their mental burden, and reduce their stuttering. When a child stutters, parents should not imitate or laugh at the child, nor draw undue attention to the child's speech defects. Parents should not show impatience or rudely interrupt the child's speech. Parents should give more comfort and encouragement, pretend that nothing happened, guide the child to slow down and lower the volume when speaking, speak calmly, and guide the child to build up self-confidence in overcoming stuttering.

⒉ Language correction training

On the basis of psychological treatment, children can gain confidence, breathe freely and use their language organs, so that language correction training can be successful. There are several approaches you can take:

① Let the child slow down his speech, which can reduce stuttering and make it easier for people to hear. When the child no longer stutters, slowly increase his speaking speed.

② Ask your child to lower his voice when speaking, because speaking softly can prevent stuttering.

③ For the first word of each phrase, slowly and gently induce its sound speed, and then gently slide to the second word. This is because most children who stutter find it difficult to pronounce the first word of a phrase. If the pronunciation is too quick or too heavy, stuttering is bound to occur. Therefore, this is a key point.

④ Talk more and practice more. In daily life, take every opportunity to talk and practice with the child who stutters. Do not interrupt or give up halfway. Let the child sing more, recite nursery rhymes, tell stories or retell personal happy things to practice speaking coherently to help correct stuttering. You can also correct a child's stuttering by changing the language. For example, if a child originally spoke Shanghainese, you can ask him to speak Mandarin, change his language habits, and force him to use his brain and think before speaking.

In short, as long as you avoid imitation, eliminate the child's nervousness when speaking, and strengthen training, stuttering can be corrected after the child's nervous system gradually develops and matures.
