What are the symptoms of kidney deficiency in children?

Kidney deficiency is actually a disease, and it is easy to occur in children. Kidney deficiency will seriously affect the life span of patients, and it can also induce many diseases. Therefore, if you want to prolong the life span of children, you must replenish kidney qi in time. If you replenish kidney qi when kidney qi is sufficient, it will induce kidney fire, which is not good for the body. So what are the symptoms of kidney deficiency in children?

First, what are the symptoms of insufficient kidney qi in children? Bedwetting - insufficient kidney qi. It is not uncommon for children to wet the bed. Under normal circumstances, children can gradually control their urination during the day after they are one year old. As the children's meridians become stronger, their qi and blood become more abundant, and their internal organs become more solid, their ability to control and express urination gradually improves. If a child is unable to control urination while sleeping after the age of 3, it is called enuresis, commonly known as "bed-wetting".

Second, the fifth delay – deficiency of kidney essence. Under normal circumstances, a child can sit alone for a while at 6 months, crawl at 8 months, stand at around 9 months, walk with support at 10 months, walk independently at 12 months, has hair at birth, and his deciduous teeth erupt 4 to 6 months after birth. He can speak simple daily expressions at 1 year old, have simple conversations after 2 years old, and express his meaning in complete language after 5 years old. According to traditional Chinese medicine, if a child cannot stand or walk at the age of 2 to 3, it is considered standing and walking delay; if a child has no hair or very little hair at birth, and the hair remains sparse and difficult to grow with age, it is considered hair growth delay; if a child has not grown teeth by 12 months or the teeth erupt too slowly thereafter, it is considered tooth delay; and if a child cannot speak at the age of 1 to 2, it is considered speech delay. These are the “five delays” of developmental delay in children.

What are the symptoms of insufficient kidney qi in children? Five weaknesses - insufficient essence. In TCM terminology, the "five delays" are often referred to as the "five softnesses", which refer to soft head and neck, soft mouth, soft hands, soft feet, and soft muscles. When the child is about six months old, if the neck is still weak and drooping, it is a soft head and neck; if he is unable to chew and droops from time to time, it is a soft mouth; if he cannot raise his arms, it is a soft hand; if he is still unable to stand and walk after 2 and a half years old, it is a soft foot; if his skin is wide and his muscles are loose and weak, it is a soft muscle. Because the symptoms of the five delays and five weaknesses often exist at the same time, Chinese medicine usually discusses and treats them together. When children show symptoms of the five delays and five softnesses, they should seek medical attention promptly.
