Diagnostic criteria for hemolytic anemia

Diagnostic criteria for hemolytic anemia

Anemia is a very common phenomenon in our lives. Most people suffer from anemia because of iron deficiency in the body. This type of anemia is called iron deficiency anemia. There is also a type of anemia called hemolytic anemia, which is a blood system disease. However, no matter which type of anemia it is, it should be treated in time, otherwise it is particularly easy to get sepsis. So what is the blood picture of hemolytic anemia?

What are the blood routine indicators for hemolytic anemia?

Speaking of anemia, this disease does not discriminate by age. Some babies who are only a few months old can suffer from anemia. The following are the diagnostic criteria for hemolytic anemia:

1. Routine blood test: Hemolytic anemia is a disease of the blood system, so we do a routine blood test. The routine blood test should not show a significant decrease in red blood cells and a shortened lifespan. The red blood cells fuse into one piece, and the survival time of the red blood cells is greatly reduced. If the detected plasma free hemoglobin is less than 40 mg/l, it can be suspected that it may be intravascular hemolysis, or cell membrane defect anemia. Combined with the clinical manifestations, it can be diagnosed as hemolytic anemia.

2. Bone marrow examination: with obvious manifestations, the hematopoietic function of the bone marrow is reduced, the red blood cell count is significantly reduced, and the white blood cell count, especially the neutrophil, is 0.5 times the normal number, which is significantly reduced to 1/2 of the original number. Combined with the routine blood test and clinical manifestations, the diagnosis is hemolytic anemia. Serum haptoglobin is significantly reduced to one-third of the original level, so the examination standard can be clearly used as an indicator of hemolytic anemia.

3. Combined standards: Hemolytic anemia is divided into congenital and acquired types. In order to diagnose the disease more accurately, regional genetic factors, clinical manifestations, and laboratory tests will also be combined. These standards can clearly diagnose the disease of hemolytic anemia.

What to do if you have hemolytic anemia

If you have hemolytic anemia, first of all, don't blindly ignore some minor symptoms. Be sure to go to a regular hospital for examination. We should maintain good sleeping habits and eat more vegetables and fruits, so that we can have sufficient resistance and a healthy body.

It is extremely important to eliminate the causes and predisposing factors. For example, patients with cold-type antibody autoimmune hemolytic anemia should pay attention to keeping warm; patients with favism should avoid eating broad beans and drugs with oxidizing properties. If hemolysis is caused by drugs, the drugs should be stopped immediately. If hemolysis is caused by infection, active anti-infection treatment should be given. If it is secondary to other diseases, the primary disease should be actively treated.

If you have hemolytic anemia, you must first face the disease correctly and detect and treat it early. Eat more foods that replenish qi and nourish blood, and also eat more foods rich in iron. As a parent, you should take your child to the hospital for medical treatment in time. We should develop good living habits in our daily life. In terms of diet, you can eat some easily digestible foods and create an acidic environment for the stomach to facilitate the absorption of iron.
