Reasonable planning of your baby's daily schedule will be of great help to your baby's healthy growth. Six-month-old babies are relatively small and spend most of their time sleeping and eating. Only by ensuring these can we better promote the baby's development and growth. Although six-month-old babies are relatively small and rely on eating and sleeping, if you want your baby to have a more regular schedule, you can make a schedule for your baby. So how do you arrange it?

Get up between 7 and 8 am

After six months, babies basically have their own "biological clock" and wake up at about the same time every day. The more appropriate time is between 7 and 8 o'clock. The older they are, the later the time will be.

Different babies may have different early awakening times. Some babies may be used to waking up after 6 o'clock, which is fine. But if it is earlier than 6 o'clock, it can be regarded as a "false" awakening. Try to help the baby sleep for a while. Don't tease him or hug him. Let him play in the room by himself for a while, unless he must find his mother. Keep the room quiet and don't open the curtains too early. If your baby suddenly wakes up later than usual, it's okay once or twice, but if it's later than 8:30 for several consecutive days, you can wake him up, which will help establish his biological clock.

Breakfast around 8 am

Milk is essential for baby's breakfast, 200ML of breast milk or formula milk to ensure the intake of dairy products. Although complementary foods have been added at this time, porridge and rice paste cannot replace milk.

If the baby can eat complementary food after drinking milk, then it can be done in one meal. However, babies usually cannot eat more after drinking milk, so they can eat complementary food after an hour. For babies over one year old, breakfast can be arranged according to this principle.

9:00-10:30 Entertainment time

After breakfast, you can leave your baby some fixed activity time. If the weather is good, try to do more outdoor activities, and try to ensure at least one hour of outdoor time in the morning and afternoon every day. Whether outdoors or at home, this is a great time for parents to spend time with their children. It is appropriate to use this time to read picture books and practice large movements such as crawling and sitting.

10:30-11:30 Fruit time and nap

An hour and a half has passed since breakfast time, and the baby is a little tired again. It is a good time to add some fruit. Babies in the teething period can also eat some teething biscuits that do not take up space in the stomach, so that they can rest and replenish nutrition at the same time.

A baby who wakes up around 7 a.m. will start to show signs of sleepiness around 11 a.m. after being awake for four hours, such as being in a bad mood, always wanting to be held, rubbing his eyes, etc. At this time, a nap of about 1 hour is needed. During the nap, the mother can prepare lunch so that the baby can eat it when he wakes up.

Some babies wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning, and then continue to sleep after drinking milk, and sleep until 8 o'clock. This is equivalent to having taken a nap in the morning. In this case, they basically don't need a nap at 11 o'clock, and can hold on until after lunch before sleeping again.

12 o'clock lunch time

Lunch is a main meal among complementary foods, and it is necessary to have a nutritious and balanced diet. You can allow your baby to eat as much as possible in this meal.

12:30- 15:00 Nap

For babies who do not take a nap at 11 a.m., it is time for a nap after lunch, which usually lasts 1.5-2.5 hours. The sign of waking up is that they are in a good mood when waking up. They can lie quietly in bed and play for a while before looking for their mother. They will laugh if they are teased. If you wake up crying, it may be that you are not fully asleep. You can try to continue sleeping.

For babies who take a nap at 11 a.m., the nap time should be scheduled around 3 p.m. You can have a drink of milk before going to bed, wake up around 5 o'clock, and after a little activity for about an hour, you should be ready for dinner.

Try to keep the nap time fixed. If you follow the same schedule every day, your baby will know what to do and when. Taking naps, eating and going to bed at similar times will make it easier for him to establish his own routine.

15:00- 17:30 Fruit time, entertainment time

After the baby wakes up, arrange for him to have a meal, and then he can play some small games or do some outdoor activities. During this time, you can arrange for him to eat some fruits and snacks, and the baby will also be very relaxed. The right amount of exercise can help your baby open up his appetite for dinner.

17:30 Dinner

It is best to have dinner on time because there is another meal before going to bed at night. Eating too late will also affect the amount of milk.

19:00-20:00 Parent-child time, bathing (of course, if everything can be arranged before 7:30, that's OK too)

Don't engage in overly intense activities or do a lot of large-scale motor exercises. It is suitable to arrange a bath, read books and paintings with your baby, tell stories, etc.

20:00 Enter sleep mode

Give your baby some sleep cues, such as drinking milk before bed, changing into pajamas, dimming the lights in the room, etc. Try to let the baby fall asleep in the crib by himself. If the baby is still excited or often stands up from the bed, you can pat him gently or hold him upright and walk back and forth in the room (not hold him horizontally to coax him to sleep), tell him that it is time to go to bed now, and you can put him in bed after he rubs his eyes or yawns.
