Best work and rest schedule for high school students

Best work and rest schedule for high school students

High school is a special period with great academic and mental pressure, which affects the future of every student. Due to heavy study pressure, high school students often have disordered biological clocks, and are prone to insomnia at night, sleep less, and feel sleepy during the day, which will affect their study progress. In order to ensure the work and rest of high school students, a work and rest schedule suitable for high school students can be formulated. So how to arrange it?

There are several principles that can provide reference and standards in the formulation process:

The energy consumed by brain cells is mainly glucose.

Blood sugar starts to rise half an hour after a meal and reaches its peak in one hour.

So eat half an hour before the exam and don't eat too much

Please arrange time for a lunch break. Even if you are the kind of person who can't sleep during the day, force yourself to close your eyes and rest for a while at noon.

Find out whether you are more efficient at studying when you get up early or when you stay up late. If you don’t know, take a test. If you are an early riser, go to bed early at night without procrastinating.

Memorizing words, ancient poems, and English texts can be arranged before going to bed.

Because the EEG activity in the parietal lobe of the brain, which processes language, is stronger before sleep.

You may have had this experience yourself.

A song I listened to before going to bed.

The next morning I woke up feeling very familiar with it and could even hum it.

Divide your time into intervals. Before the exam, you can rotate your review according to the order of the exams. There is a famous formula: "8-1〉8", which means to take out one hour out of eight hours for sports, entertainment or rest. On the surface, you have only studied for seven hours, but the effect is better.

The schedule must be as detailed as possible, including details such as eating, resting, organizing correction books, and memorizing. You can also use a notebook and a detailed notepad. Of course, don't spend too much energy on this matter, so as not to put the cart before the horse.

Just entering the third year of high school - before the exam - before the mock exam - in the countdown stage, the schedule needs to be adjusted according to different periods. Linear, tabular, daily, weekly plans; electronic or handwritten, all are acceptable. The important thing is that you like the system and it is highly executable so that it can proceed step by step.

A high degree of self-discipline is the guarantee of good performance and the prerequisite for doing everything well. When it is difficult to rely on willpower, schedules, diaries, and notes are all auxiliary tools. With such self-discipline, you will have fewer unnecessary worries and anxieties, and learning attitudes, emotions, etc. will become less important.

Give it a try. This habit is not only useful for the college entrance examination, it will become a good habit for your whole life.

1. Morning self-study:

Morning reading is the golden time for memorization, usually about 30 minutes. If you only study and memorize one subject, your brain will often get tired easily and the effect will not be good. It is recommended to alternate between English and Chinese. Morning self-study is also the time when many students will feel sleepy, so in order to avoid this situation, Study Brother also recommends that everyone should have a clear task, such as spending 15 minutes in Chinese to memorize an important paragraph in a text or an ancient poem; spending 15 minutes in English to memorize 20 words. The specific arrangements depend on your own abilities.

2. Class time

High school classes usually last about 45 minutes, and many students don’t gain much from the class. One of the reasons is that time is not fully utilized, with less effective time and more ineffective or wasted time. How can we reasonably arrange and efficiently utilize class time?

① Make adequate preparations before class. Be sure to prepare well before class and be prepared with one or two questions that you may encounter during the preparation. Adjust your mood and mindset, put aside everything that is not related to study, and don't be immersed in gossip with classmates.

② Keep up with the teacher’s teaching progress. Don't slack off, either mentally or physically. You must take notes diligently, but don't do it randomly. Remember the knowledge points that the teacher repeatedly emphasizes.

3. Break time

The time between classes should be used to relax your brain. You can chat with classmates and tell jokes, but don’t chat too enthusiastically, otherwise you will not be able to recover when class starts. You can also walk outside the classroom to relax your eyes.

4. Noon time

There is a lot to be done during this period. There are two main tasks at noon. One is to rest and ensure that you have enough energy for the afternoon classes; the other is to review the morning courses and do homework for 1-2 subjects.

In principle, you can pay attention to three aspects when studying at noon:

① Review what was covered in class. Don't leave all the courses to review at noon. For simpler courses, it is better to arrange them during the class. Otherwise, if you squeeze all the courses into noon, the time will be too tight and you will just rush through the course, which will not be effective.

② Complete the homework assigned by the teacher in the morning. Don’t leave all your homework to be done at night; that will leave you too tight on time and won’t produce good results. Before doing homework, you should review the knowledge points, so that you can do the homework easily, efficiently and accurately.

③ Set aside some time to preview the afternoon lessons.

5. Evening self-study

Self-study time is an important part of widening the learning gap. The difference may not be obvious in one or two days, but over time, the effect will gradually emerge. In principle, the following aspects should be paid attention to during evening self-study:

The first is to review what you have learned that day, focusing on the afternoon courses and the courses that were not reviewed in the morning;

The second is to complete the homework that was not completed that day;

The third is to ask the teacher for help in solving difficult problems;

Fourth, prepare for the most difficult subject for the next day, and make up for it if you have extra time;
