How to eliminate bloating in children?

In daily life, burping and hiccups often occur after meals. This symptom occurs in adults. It can be relieved by taking a small amount of medicine to promote digestion. However, it is difficult to eliminate stomach bloating in children because they cannot take medicine casually and parents will be at a loss. In fact, as long as children are careful not to eat too fast during meals, do not give them carbonated drinks before meals, and try to eat less snacks, the stomach bloating will soon disappear.

1. Don't eat too fast. Don Breitler, a spokesman for the American Dietitians Association, says eating too quickly can cause you to swallow air, which can cause bloating. He recommends that people eat no less than 30 minutes per meal.

2. Don’t drink too many carbonated drinks. The bubbles in carbonated drinks are how the gas gets into your stomach, Breitler says.

3. Don't chew too much gum. Chewing gum can also cause you to swallow air, which can cause bloating.

4. Be careful with sugar-free foods. "Many of my patients experience bloating from foods with artificial sweeteners," says Breitler. Experts recommend no more than two servings of foods and drinks with artificial sweeteners per day.

5. Limit sodium intake. Experts point out that when buying food, you should pay attention to reading food labels and buy foods with a sodium content of less than 500 mg per serving to ensure that the daily sodium intake does not exceed 2,300 mg.

6. Eat small meals frequently. Aim to eat five or six times a day, but make sure you eat a balanced amount of food and calories.

7. Try the following anti-bloating foods. Some studies suggest that peppermint tea, ginger, pineapple, parsley, and yogurt with probiotics can help reduce bloating.
