What to do if your child is naughty

What to do if your child is naughty

Different people have different growing environments and educational experiences, and their personalities are also different. As the saying goes, a child's character can be seen at the age of three. Therefore, the education of children under three years old is very important. We need to set a good example for children and help them develop good habits. When children are too naughty, many parents feel very distressed. So what should parents do when faced with the situation that children are too naughty?

1. Understand your children:

Parents should know that it is normal for children to be naughty and disobedient. Children are lively and active and full of curiosity about the world. Parents should understand their children, know their age characteristics and psychological thoughts. Naughtiness and disobedience are the result of their curiosity. Parents should manage their children scientifically and not hurt their curiosity.

2. Control your emotions:

When children are naughty and disobedient, parents must control their emotions and adjust their mentality when educating such children. They should not get upset when they see their children being naughty, and immediately become irritable and bombard the children with indiscriminate criticism. After venting their anger, the children do not know where they did wrong. Over time, the children get used to the parents' way of education and criticism, and they are still ignorant. Instead, they learn to lie to protect themselves.

3. Education to the point:

When children are naughty and disobedient, parents should educate them according to the problems one by one. Parents should not educate their children angrily for a long time while the children do not understand what the parents are trying to say or why they lose their temper. Education should play the role and effect of education. Telling children what they should do in a calm manner is the main purpose of education.

4. No mandatory management:

If children are disobedient and naughty, parents cannot force them to do so, let alone yell at them. Instead, they should guide them reasonably, speak to them nicely and reason with them. More often, they should consider the problem from the child's perspective and not use adult thinking to deal with problems, thinking that it is good for the child and imposing their own ideas on the child.

5. Listen to what your child says:

When children are disobedient and naughty, parents think that their children are doing something wrong. Maybe children have their own ideas and reasons. Parents can calm down and listen carefully to their children to see if what they say makes sense. Listening more to their children's ideas will eliminate more misunderstandings. Don't start criticizing and reasoning as soon as you see that your children are naughty and disobedient, which will make your children feel annoyed.

6. Give more reminders and urge more:

Children are disobedient and naughty because they have not formed good habits and have poor self-control. Parents should remind their children more often what they can and cannot do, so that they know right from wrong. Kind reminders will be more effective than harsh discipline and criticism.

7. See if your child is naughty:

If a child is naughty and disobedient, it depends on to what extent the child is naughty or disobedient. He may not understand anything, do things that are really outrageous and make everyone intolerable, or like to talk back to his parents and teachers. Parents should know that not all obedient children are good children, and being too obedient is not a good thing. The child will lose his own opinions. Being naughty and disobedient should be treated differently from mental illness.

8. Strict management without laissez-faire:

If children are disobedient, naughty, and often do wrong things, parents should reflect on their own management and education. Is it caused by spoiling the children or not managing them properly? Children are good at observing words and expressions and can read adults' faces. Children who make mistakes should be educated well, let them recognize their mistakes, and receive corresponding punishments. Let children know the consequences of doing wrong things. It is not enough to just talk about reason, but punishment must be effective and methodical.
