What to do if a seven or eight-year-old child is disobedient

For children aged seven or eight, they already have their own thinking. At this time, they may not listen to adults because they are particularly curious about the outside world. Therefore, parents should not beat or scold their children when educating them. Instead, they should reason with them and appeal to their emotions. They should master the correct methods to guide their children. So what should you do if children aged seven or eight are disobedient?

1. Treat children as friends.

When communicating with your child, do not speak to him in a commanding tone. Treat him as a friend, stand in his position and point of view, communicate with him in his favorite language, and incorporate profound truths into the conversation using simple language. He will love to listen. If you always use commands or forces to make your child obedient, he will hate it. In the process of telling stories and playing games, establish the so-called correct principles, because when he is having fun, he is most likely to accept education from adults.

2. When communicating with children, be easy going.

Usually, some parents always point out their children's shortcomings directly and chatter incessantly, but the children hear it too much and it doesn't work, so they turn a deaf ear to it. For example: "Why did you come back so late after school yesterday? Go home immediately after school today." The children will feel annoyed by their parents' control and have a rebellious mentality. Therefore, you should pay attention to the wording when communicating with the children, such as: "Mom will be worried if you don't come home on time after school. I will look for you, do you understand?" In this way, the child will be easy to accept. The child is a "smooth donkey" who can only be obeyed. Once he has a rebellious mentality, it will be troublesome.

3. Pay attention to children’s psychology and attitude.

When communicating with children, parents must pay attention to their children's reactions. Don't always talk like a bombardier. Some children will not oppose their parents with words, but will subconsciously react with actions or body language. At this time, adults must observe. You can see his psychological state from the child's eyes and body language. If he feels very scared or annoyed, then you must change your way, change the topic or adjust the environment. Never let it become a habit.
