Are all the babies' movements sudden?

The baby is very cute, but one of his actions will cause his parents to worry. If your baby suddenly shakes while playing, what is the reason? Some people may think it is due to calcium deficiency. In fact, this is not the whole reason. You need to go to the hospital for examination. Sometimes neurological diseases can also cause this situation. We cannot let the baby suffer from this condition at will. So, what are the reasons for the sudden shaking of the baby's body?

1. What causes baby's hand tremors?

The brain of a newborn is not fully developed yet, but the ancient motor center under the cerebral cortex that is responsible for movement is relatively mature. Some movements of the newborn are not controlled by the cerebral cortex, but by the ancient motor center, so some involuntary and purposeless shaking often occurs. This is a normal phenomenon and will not affect the child's future intelligence. As you grow older and your brain continues to develop, this involuntary shaking will naturally decrease and eventually disappear, and be replaced by conscious, autonomous movements.

2. What to do if your baby’s hands are shaking

When the baby is shaking, parents can calm him down by gently pressing any part of his body with their hands. (If it is an epileptic seizure, gently pressing the limbs will not stop the shaking.) The baby shakes during sleep because some brain cells are in a dormant state, while other brain cells are still in an excited state. At this time, if there is a change in light or sound, the child's hands and feet may shake involuntarily. Some children may also have irregular shaking of fingers, eyelids, and toes without light and sound stimulation. These shaking usually lasts for a very short time and disappears after the child enters deep sleep.

3. Things to note when your baby's hands are shaking

If parents find that their baby is overly excited about general touch or hearing, is irritable, screams and cries, or even stares, trembles or blinks constantly, repeatedly chews and sucks with his lips, has irregular breathing with cyanosis of the face and lips, twitches of facial muscles, twitches of limbs, and sometimes pale complexion without muscle twitches, the seizure lasts 2-10 seconds, no more than 30 seconds, and consciousness is quickly restored and normal activities are resumed. These are abnormal pathological manifestations, especially intracranial diseases. You should take your baby to the hospital for a doctor's diagnosis in time.
