Did your child break his finger on a toothpick?

Did your child break his finger on a toothpick?

Toothpicks are indispensable in our daily life. Toothpicks have many uses. Most children are very active and sometimes they are accidentally hurt by toothpicks. If the wound is deep and there is local redness, swelling and inflammation, it is probably infected. Disinfection is needed at this time. If foreign matter flows into the wound, it must be cleaned out.

How to quickly treat a cut on your hand

1. If it is just a common knife wound, then rinse your hands with clean water first, then go to the pharmacy to buy disinfectant and medical gauze, and apply disinfectant, such as hydrogen peroxide, in turn. Never use disinfectants or anti-inflammatory drugs such as alcohol that are too irritating, as they will damage the wound tissue, so use them with caution; it is best to cover it with sterile gauze and bandage it to fix it.

2. If you encounter a serious knife wound, you must deal with it promptly and urgently. The method is: you can directly press the wound with gauze, handkerchief or towel, and then bandage the wound tightly to temporarily slow down the bleeding. Or you can find the hemostatic point near the artery close to the heart near the bleeding wound and press it hard to prevent the blood flowing from the heart from flowing smoothly to the wound, thus reducing the amount of bleeding. After implementing the above methods, be sure to call 120 and go to the hospital for treatment in time.

3. If it is a small wound, you can rinse it lightly with clean water or saline, then disinfect it again with disinfectant, and wrap it with clean medical gauze. When the wound is slightly clogged, you can remove the gauze, but if it is a very large wound, do not rinse it. Stop the bleeding first and then cover it with clean gauze. Do not forcefully remove the blood clot, as this will cause secondary injury!

How to deal with a cut on your hand

Treatment of general knife wounds:

1. Wash your hands and clean the wound with boiling water;

2. Apply disinfectant, such as hydrogen peroxide. Disinfectants or anti-inflammatory drugs that are too harsh can damage wound tissue, so use them with caution;

3. Cover with sterilized gauze and secure with a bandage.

Emergency treatment for severe stab wounds:

1. Compression hemostasis method: Press the wound directly with gauze, handkerchief or towel, and then bandage the wound tightly. This may temporarily slow the bleeding.

2. Hemostasis point acupressure method The so-called hemostasis point is the artery point close to the heart near the bleeding wound. Find the hemostasis point and press it hard to prevent the blood flowing from the heart from flowing smoothly to the wound, thereby reducing the amount of bleeding.

When the bleeding is severe and does not stop, tie a cloth strip, triangular bandage or rope on the bleeding point and tie it tightly; loosen it slightly every fifteen minutes to avoid tissue necrosis. It is best to seek medical attention within forty minutes.

If it is a small wound, you can rinse it lightly with clean water or saline (rinse around the wound in a circular shape), and then disinfect it. Do not use cotton for bandaging, please use clean gauze. When the wound is shackled, you don't need to bandage it! If it is a very large one, do not rinse it. Stop the bleeding first and then cover it with clean gauze. Do not forcefully remove the blood clot, as this will cause secondary injury!
