Early symptoms of vitiligo in children

Early symptoms of vitiligo in children

Vitiligo is a disease in which white spots appear on the surface of the skin, which is mainly caused by insufficient melanin in the body. At the beginning, the spots are relatively few and small, but slowly these white spots will spread. If not treated in time, it will become more difficult to cure after the spread area becomes larger. It is best to eat some black foods, such as black beans, black rice and black sesame seeds, to replenish the melanin in the body.

1. The color and area of the initial white spots. In the early stages, the white spots on patients are mostly light white and nearly round, oval or irregular in shape. In the early stage of the disease, the area of white spots is generally small. Except for the loss of pigmentation, there are no symptoms such as atrophy, itching, and desquamation. There is no pain or itching. However, if the white spots are stimulated by sunlight, trauma, etc., there will be a certain burning sensation and even trigger inflammation.

2. Number of white spots. Early white spots usually only have one or several patches, and most of them appear on exposed skin, such as the face, neck, arms, etc. However, as the disease progresses, the number of white spots will gradually increase, and adjacent white spots may merge into large irregular patches, or even spread throughout the body.

3. Hair in the lesions. In the early stages of vitiligo, symptoms such as white hair rarely occur, but if the disease is not controlled in time and progresses, the hair may lose its pigment and turn white, or even fall off.

4. Distribution of white spots. Early pigment loss only occurs in a small area, and sometimes only occurs on one side of the body, but most patients may have it in various parts of the body and it is symmetrical.

The above are some of the main symptoms of vitiligo in the early stages of the disease. You can check whether the white spots on your body are vitiligo. If you have symptoms of vitiligo, you must go to a regular hospital for diagnosis in time, actively cooperate with treatment, and restore your skin as soon as possible.
