5-year-old baby height and weight

5-year-old baby height and weight

We all know that babies grow and develop very fast when they are young. Many mothers worry that their babies will have developmental delays when taking care of them. They will look at the baby's growth chart to see if their baby is within the normal range. For babies around five years old, they can already do some things independently at this time. So what is the normal height and weight for a five-year-old baby?

Method of predicting adult height by using child's height

1. Male height = height at birth (cm) ÷ 0.2949; Female height = height at birth (cm) ÷ 0.3109. Please note when using this formula: it is only applicable to normal full-term newborns; if the height data can be measured with an accuracy of 0.1 cm, the height prediction will be more accurate.

2. Male height = height at 3 years old × 0.545 + average height of parents × 0.544 + 37.69 (cm); Female height = height at 3 years old × 0.545 + average height of parents × 0.544 + 25.63 (cm), standard height prediction formula (genetic law)

Male height = (father's height + mother's height) × 1.08 ÷ 2 (cm)

Female height = (father's height x 0.923 + mother's height) ÷ 2 (cm)

The above formula generally conforms to the genetic principle of "tall plus tall produces tall, tall plus dwarf produces tall, dwarf plus dwarf produces short".

Of course, there are many factors that affect height:

(1) Height is related to the early or late stage of sexual maturity

(2) Height is related to nutrition

(3) Height is related to sleep

(4) Height is related to genetics

(5) Height is related to physical exercise

(6) Height is related to mental factors

Feeding tips

Tip: Cultivate good eating habits in children from an early age, control snacks, eat less greasy and high-fat foods, and avoid being picky or partial to certain foods.

Daily Diet

Mainly milk, eggs, and cereals. Generally, there is no need to supplement vitamins or take tonics. Ensure a balanced intake of 400 ml of milk, one egg, and other cereals, vegetables, fruits, poultry, fish, meat, and eggs every day.

Balanced diet

Each meal should consist of several foods, generally including sufficient grains or root vegetables to provide basic calories.

Secondly, it must contain animal and plant protein, such as meat, fish, milk, eggs, poultry, beans and their products, to provide high-quality protein.

In addition, it should be rich in vegetables and fruits to provide the body with necessary vitamins and inorganic salts.

Finally, fat, oil and sugar are also essential to meet the heat energy needs.

Nutritional elements

Nutrients include six major categories: protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, inorganic salts and water, among which protein, fat and carbohydrates can generate heat energy. Snacks can be added every day to provide children with the necessary energy. The best snacks should contain carbohydrates and protein.
