Three major symptoms of autism in children

The psychological development of children is very important. It is a factor that affects children's lives, because mental health is the basis for all children's activities. Mental illness causes children's activities to become disordered or behave abnormally. For example, autism is a very influential problem that affects children throughout their lives. Let's take a look at the three major symptoms of autism in children.

1. Lack of communication skills: Normal children will express what they want in words when they can speak, but children with autism will not. For example, when a child wants to eat, he will not express it, but express his needs through strange actions such as shouting or patting his belly. At the same time, they do not communicate with their eyes. They dare not look strangers in the eye, and even do not have intimate eye contact with their parents. They treat their parents like strangers. When they have nothing to do, they appear dull and do not know how to actively join in the games of children of the same age. They are very lonely.

2. Poor speaking ability: manifested as slow speech, unclear articulation, simple speech, repetition of single sentences, etc. Some autistic children cannot speak complete sentences even at the age of 7, and always like to repeat the sounds from the TV. However, they cannot utter a sentence properly if asked.

3. Stereotyped behavior: Children with autism have a narrow range of interests. They will constantly fiddle with a particular object or parts of an object, make repetitive body movements such as clapping their hands, or in some cases engage in self-harming behaviors without knowing it hurts!

Due to the above symptoms, autistic children do not speak, are not sociable, and behave strangely. Many other children do not understand their behavior and thus isolate and bully them. Autistic children themselves are prone to anger and can easily hurt themselves and other children. Therefore, schools generally advise children with autism to drop out.
