Early symptoms of Kawasaki disease

Early symptoms of Kawasaki disease

When it comes to Kawasaki disease, most people may not be familiar with it and don’t know what this disease is. The incidence of Kawasaki disease is relatively high in children. Once a child suffers from this disease, it is very harmful to the child’s physical health and needs to be actively treated. While actively treating Kawasaki disease, you also need to pay attention to your diet. Try to keep your diet light, but you need to eat foods with a relatively high protein content.

Early symptoms of Kawasaki disease

1. Common persistent fever lasts for 5 to 11 days or longer (2 weeks to 1 month), with body temperature often reaching above 39°C, and antibiotic treatment is ineffective.

2. Various forms of erythematous rashes appear on the body.

3. The hands and feet become hard and swollen, and red spots can be seen on the fingers and toes. When the swelling subsides and the rash disappears, the skin on the feet and hands, especially near the nails, will peel off in flaks.

4. Both eyes are bloodshot and red.

5. The mouth, gums (gingiva), and throat are congested and red; the tongue is also red, and small bright red protruding dots can be seen on the edges, which look very much like the "thorns" of fresh bayberry.

6. Swollen lymph nodes on both sides of the neck and under the mandible.

What to eat for Kawasaki disease

egg

Eggs have a great effect on the nervous system and physical development. The choline contained in them can improve memory in all age groups. The protein in eggs can repair liver tissue damage, and the lecithin in egg yolk can promote the regeneration of liver cells. It can also increase the amount of plasma protein in the human body and enhance the body's metabolic and immune functions.

Light and easily digestible food

Children with Kawasaki disease have long-term repeated high fever and fever reduction in the early stages of the disease, severe loss of vitamins in the body, and obvious negative nitrogen balance. Therefore, the diet should be nutritious, light and easily digestible.
