20-month-old baby's intellectual development

We all know that as the baby grows, mothers are particularly concerned about the baby's development, fearing that their baby will suffer from developmental delay due to lack of nutrition. This is because the impact of developmental delay on the baby is not temporary, but lifelong, especially in the baby's intellectual development. If there is developmental delay, the learning ability will become weaker. So, to what extent has the baby's intelligence developed at 20 months old?

1. Language: At this time, the baby has begun to learn to speak, and his language ability is becoming more and more perfect. He can remember the names of many things and the uses of objects. He can say some simple words to express his meaning, such as: give me, I want, eat, etc. Some babies can even say a complete sentence to express their meaning. The baby will start yelling, throwing tantrums, and throwing things, but this is not a personality problem. Parents should not ignore or scold their baby, but they can communicate with their baby.

2. Pick it up, stand up, and walk independently and steadily. You can also walk sideways or backwards. The baby can go up and down stairs flexibly when held by the parents. He has learned to turn the pages of a book one by one, and can play fine games with his hands very well, such as stacking small buckets, arranging building blocks, etc.

3. Memory: As the baby begins to recognize words, his memory gradually improves. Although he cannot fully understand the meaning of the lyrics, he can recite a long section of the lyrics. This is mainly because his interest is not in the lyrics, but in the melody of the song that attracts him. At this time, the baby's hand-eye coordination ability gradually improves. He likes to take things apart and break them down. He can pick up very small objects on the ground and accurately pinch them with his thumb and index finger.

4. Height and weight: The weight of boys is 9.5-14.6 kg; the weight of girls is 9-13.8 kg. The height of boys is 78.7-91.6 cm; the height of girls is 77.4-90.2 cm. Most of them have grown 16 deciduous teeth.
