If a newborn baby makes a gurgling sound in his throat, it is likely due to laryngomalacia, also known as softening of the laryngeal cartilage, or congenital larynx. More experienced mothers know that this is called laryngeal stridor.

Laryngomalacia is the most common congenital abnormality of laryngeal development and is a series of manifestations caused by the collapse of the structures above the glottis during inspiration. Babies with severe laryngeal stridor will have difficulty breathing and feeding, which will make mothers particularly worried and anxious. Symptoms of laryngomalacia

A moist laryngeal sound during inhalation that appears in the neonatal period (appears around 2 weeks after birth, and sometimes 2-3 months after birth), some of which sounds like a blocked nose.

In severe cases, inspiratory depression occurs above the sternum and below the xiphoid process. Some children experience feeding difficulties, pectus excavatum, and cor pulmonale.

Most of the diseases that newborns often suffer from are caused by incomplete or abnormal development. It is for this reason that premature babies are more likely to develop various diseases. In order not to delay the best treatment time for neonatal diseases, parents must pay close attention to the baby's condition when taking care of the baby, and detect abnormalities as early as possible and treat them as soon as possible.
