What should I do if my baby has milk ringworm? Treatment of milk ringworm

Milk rash, which we call eczema, is mainly caused by baby's skin allergies. It is also related to the baby's own physique and allergic reactions to some substances. If a baby has milk rash, you should pay attention to finding allergens and developing some good habits.

The diet should be regular and quantitative. It is best to drink breast milk. If you drink milk, drink more water, add less sugar and boil it for a little longer. As the child gets older, he can be given multivitamin food. He should not eat too much. If he has constipation, he can be given honey or his diet can be changed. If you have indigestion, seek prompt treatment.

1. Avoid overeating your baby

In order to maintain normal digestion and absorption capabilities, food should be light, with less salt and sugar, so as to avoid excessive accumulation of water and sodium in the body, aggravating the exudation, pain and itching of the rash, and causing skin erosion.

2. Look for suspected food allergens

If you find any food that obviously induces milk ringworm in your baby, stop using it immediately. Even mothers should avoid eating food that may cause allergies in their babies. If you suspect that a certain food is causing the baby's allergy, you should avoid feeding the baby that food. For example, if the baby is allergic to egg white, you can temporarily feed the baby only egg yolk and stop feeding egg white. You can also start with a small amount of egg white and then increase the amount little by little according to the baby's reaction. The thin membrane between the cooked egg white and yolk is ovomucoid, which is very likely to cause allergies, so do not give it to your baby.

3. Start with small amounts of new food for your baby

Start with a small amount, and gradually increase the amount. If the baby has no allergic reaction after about 10 days, you may increase the intake, or add another new food.

4. Eat more vegetable oil

Babies with milk eczema usually have low levels of essential fatty acids in their bodies, so mothers can use more vegetable oil when feeding their babies and eat less animal oil to avoid aggravating dampness and heat, which is not conducive to the treatment of milk eczema.

5. Boil milk more often

If the baby's milk eczema is caused by milk allergy, the boiling time and frequency of the milk should be extended when cooking, so that the lactalbumin that causes the allergy can be denatured, thereby alleviating the allergy, or other milk substitutes can be used instead, such as soy milk or Baby Joy.
