There is a small white spot on the nipple of the baby boy

If a boy's nipples develop small white spots, it may be a symptom of miliary rash, which is commonly known as prickly heat. This is a symptom that has little impact on human health and will completely disappear after a period of time. However, during the onset of the disease, the child will feel itchy, which is unbearable for the child. Therefore, parents still need to do certain care work during the period of miliary infection.

1. What is miliary rash

If you notice small white spots on your newborn's cheeks and nose, they are milia. Milia are harmless and common, affecting around 40% of newborns, most often on the upper cheeks, nose or chin. Some babies may have only a few, while others may have many.

Seeing these little bumps on your baby's pretty face may make you uncomfortable, but milia are neither painful nor infectious and disappear on their own in two to three weeks without treatment.

You may see similar small bumps on your baby's gums or palate. These bumps are called "Epstein's nodes," commonly known as "horse teeth." They are harmless and do not require treatment. They usually disappear a few months after birth.

2. Causes of miliary rash in babies

Milia occur when dead skin accumulates in the tiny pores on the surface of your baby's skin. Once the epidermis of these small bumps falls off and the accumulated dead skin falls off, the milia will be cured.

3. What to do if miliary rash appears on the baby's face

What should you do if a newborn baby develops small white or yellow papules as big as a needle tip on his face? In fact, this is the common infant miliary rash.

Milia is a common symptom in infants, often occurring on the forehead, cheeks, jaw and nose.

If a newborn baby has such symptoms, parents do not need to worry too much, as this is related to the fact that the baby's sebaceous glands have not yet fully developed.

Usually, this symptom disappears naturally two to three weeks after birth, so no special treatment or care is required.

It is important to note that you should never squeeze the baby's affected area or apply ointment to the baby at will, so as not to damage the baby's skin and cause skin sensitivity or infection.
