Urticaria is a very common skin disease in both adults and children. The main manifestation of urticaria is large-scale local redness and swelling, accompanied by itching, which makes people very uncomfortable. It is difficult to treat urticaria in babies because their bodies are too fragile and medications should not be abused casually, otherwise it may cause other discomfort reactions. Many parents have questions: Will the urticaria on the baby disappear on its own? Baby urticaria, also known as pediatric urticaria, can be divided into acute and chronic. Acute urticaria is relatively easy to treat, while the treatment time of chronic urticaria needs to be extended. Generally, urticaria will disappear within a week. If it does not disappear, you should go to the hospital to test for allergens. It should be noted that you should not take a hot bath or scratch the hives after they appear.Acute urticaria in children develops suddenly, and the skin may become abnormally itchy within an instant. With the itching and scratching, red or pale wheals of varying sizes and shapes quickly appear; some are ring-shaped, and some may merge into large pieces. They disappear quickly within 10 minutes to a few hours, leaving no trace. The location of the rash is irregular. For example, if you scratch the child's normal skin with a needle, red bumps consistent with the scratches may appear. Most children have no other discomfort except for severe itching of the skin; a few children have internal organs affected and experience fever, headache, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and other discomforts; in severe cases, there are symptoms of shock such as pale complexion, difficulty breathing, and low blood pressure. If urticaria in children continues to recur for more than six weeks, it becomes chronic urticaria. The cause of the disease is not necessarily related to food. Many other factors may cause chronic urticaria in children. Such as temperature changes, physical changes (such as scratching), dust, pollen, stockings, etc. causing stimulation to local skin, emotions causing vascular tension, etc. For example, some people may be allergic to cold water, while others may be allergic to hot water, both of which may cause chronic urticaria in children. More than half of the patients may not be able to find an obvious cause of the disease. Also, after a child has urticaria, parents do not need to deliberately disinfect all the child's toys, clothes, and other things that have come into contact with the child. Such disinfection will instead lead to a decrease in the child's immunity. Staying in a sterile environment for a long time is likely to affect the health of skin diseases. Therefore, try to keep the child in an open state, take medicine regularly and undergo skin treatment, so that urticaria can be cured. In fact, urticaria is not that harmful. The reason why it is harmful is that people do not find the right treatment method in normal times, which results in the aggravation of the urticaria. When treating urticaria, we need to understand some treatment plans for urticaria, including finding the allergens of urticaria. Only by finding the allergens can we improve everything and prevent the recurrence of urticaria. |
