How to bask in the sun for a full-moon baby

It is best for a one-month-old baby to go out and bask in the sun for a while in the morning or afternoon. In summer, you must pay attention to sun protection, and in winter, choose good weather to bask in the sun. When basking in the sun, your baby should not wear too many clothes; he should dress appropriately. Be careful not to let your baby be allergic to the outside air, and keep your baby away from pollen or cars to avoid affecting the baby's normal physical development.

1. Choosing the right time to sunbathe

Many mothers often hold their babies in the sun for two hours, thinking that taking their babies out to bask in the sun is good for their health. In fact, this is unreasonable, because infants and young children's skin is delicate and fragile, and long-term exposure to the sun may cause dry, rough skin, and red bumps.

The length of each sunbathing session depends on the age of the baby and should be increased gradually from more than ten minutes to 1 to 2 hours. Or 15 to 30 minutes each time, several times a day. If you find that your baby's skin becomes red, he sweats excessively, or his pulse accelerates, you should go home immediately and give him cool drinks or light salt water, or wipe his body with warm water. You can also sunbathe for a while and then go to the shade to rest for a while.

In addition, choosing the right time to sunbathe your baby is also very important! Generally speaking, the best time to sunbathe is between 9-10 am and 4-5 pm. The sunlight at that time can promote the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, enhance physical fitness, and promote normal bone calcification. The sunlight between 12-14 o'clock is relatively strong and not good for the baby's skin, so don't take your baby out to sunbathe.

2. Add or remove clothes appropriately when sunbathing

When basking in the sun, many mothers are afraid that their babies will catch a cold, so they wrap them very thickly, which is not scientific. When your baby is basking in the sun, you should ensure that the baby's head, hands, feet and other exposed parts are exposed as much as possible, while ensuring that the baby is warm. It is best to cover his head and eyes with a sun hat to prevent the stimulating sunlight from shining directly on his eyes.

After sunbathing, add clothes for your baby in time, because the pores are open in the sun, and it is easy for the baby to absorb moisture and catch a cold when returning to the cold room.

3. Be careful of your baby's allergies to the external environment

After coming back from outside, many babies will have varying degrees of symptoms such as itchy nose, continuous sneezing, red eyes, itchy eyes, and itchy skin, which bothers many parents. This is because there are many factors in the air that are not good for baby's skin, and it also contains a large amount of pollen and bacteria. These factors will harm babies whose immune systems are not yet fully developed. The baby's face is most vulnerable to pollen and sunlight, which can cause a series of symptoms such as dry skin and allergies.

To avoid damage to the baby's delicate skin, the sun exposure time should be controlled within 30 minutes. The baby should be given some moisturizer, and the baby should be allowed to drink plenty of water after sun exposure and apply some baby-specific moisturizer. It is best for babies with skin allergies to reduce contact, take as much protection as possible when going out, stay away from dust, pollen, animal fur, etc. At the same time, try to avoid sun exposure and do not use alkaline cosmetics and soaps.
