What to do if your child has tooth neuralgia

Dental neuralgia is a common symptom in children. It is mainly because children eat too many sweets and develop tooth decay. We need to deal with the symptoms of tooth decay to relieve dental neuralgia. In addition, dental neuralgia may also be caused by oral infection. It is recommended that mothers should pay attention to their children's oral hygiene. When children have symptoms of dental neuralgia, we should choose the treatment method based on the cause of the disease.

Dental neuralgia belongs to the department of dentistry, and the symptom is toothache. Everyone knows that toothache is very distressing. In fact, dental neuralgia is a symptom of more than one disease. The most common one is pulpitis. There are many causes of pulpitis, such as tooth decay. Another possibility is trigeminal neuralgia, which is relatively troublesome and is usually treated in the neurology department.

What should you do if you have dental neuralgia? You need to pay attention to several aspects.

First, check whether you have dental diseases, such as caries, pulpitis, periodontitis, etc. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment. If it is pulpitis, root canal treatment is required. After the treatment, braces can be made to protect the teeth and correct the shape of the teeth.

Secondly, determine whether it is trigeminal neuralgia. There is still a certain difference between trigeminal neuralgia and normal toothache. Trigeminal neuralgia is a paroxysmal, convulsive pain, and the facial forces can try to find the trigger point. When this trigger point is stimulated, the pain will be aggravated or recurred. If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to the neurology department for examination to avoid worsening of the condition.

In fact, the key to dental neuralgia is the patient's abnormal lifestyle, such as often eating irritating foods and not paying attention to dental hygiene and protection. So here I still want to call on everyone to pay attention to dental health, rinse your teeth every day, and rinse your teeth in the correct posture. Do not eat spicy, raw or cold foods that may cause irritation, as this will aggravate your condition. When the tooth neuralgia is more severe, it is recommended to take some painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.
